Two kinds of Filipino group, two kinds of booking

The first kind lives in the UAE already. A parish group, a company club, a sports team, a barkada from the same workplace. They book for a Sunday outing, a holiday weekend, a picnic, a community event. The second kind flies in from the Philippines or another country: a family party, a choir on tour, a group of OFW relatives meeting up, a pilgrimage group. They need airport legs as well as day work.

Both need the same things from a transport company. A vehicle that fits the headcount, a driver who is at the meeting point on time, and a price they can share with the group before anyone pays. We are a transport company with drivers. We do not sell tickets, tours, hotel rooms or visas, and the organiser of the event keeps control of the programme.

Weekends, days off and why dates matter

Most community groups travel on their day off, so demand is concentrated on weekends and public holidays. The UAE weekend is Saturday and Sunday. Vehicles on those days are in demand, particularly in the cooler months. Public holiday dates, Ramadan and Eid vary each year, so ask for the date to be checked before you advertise the outing to the group.

Book as soon as you have a firm date and a rough headcount. Two weeks or more is sensible in the cooler months, and longer for a big event. If numbers may change, book the size you expect and adjust later, within the terms on your written quote. The peak season guide shows when it gets busy.

Collecting people from many places

A community outing seldom starts from one hotel. Members live in different parts of Dubai, Sharjah and Ajman, and a group of 40 may join from six places. Each pick-up costs time. A practical fix is to choose two or three central meeting points, tell members which one to use, and give each a fixed time. One coach doing six stops of ten minutes loses an hour before the day begins.

Share the meeting points with us as street addresses or map pins, and tell us if the place is a car park, a church gate or a school. The driver checks where a large vehicle can stop.

Choosing the vehicle

These are starting prices for a full day of up to 10 hours with driver and fuel. Your written quote confirms the exact price for your date, route and hours. If the group is mixed, with elderly members and small children, say so. The coach has steps, and the driver helps at the door. Folding wheelchairs go in the hold.

Splitting the cost across the group

Most community organisers divide the vehicle cost between members, so a simple calculation helps. Take the quote, add anything you pay separately, such as food, and divide by the number of paying members. For example, a 50-seater at the starting price of AED 1,450 for 45 members is about AED 32 each, before any extras on the quote. That is a worked example only, and the exact price depends on your date, route and hours.

The usual choices are a day in Abu Dhabi, a desert evening, a beach day, a theme park, a church retreat or a family reunion. Visiting parties from the Philippines

Flights from Manila to Dubai take around 8 to 9 hours, so check your airline for your routing. Dubai is 4 hours behind Manila. Landing times vary, and many arrivals are in the early hours. An example Sunday outing

A parish group of 34 meets at two points at 08:00 and 08:20. A 50-seater takes them on a day trip, stops for lunch, returns to the two points at 18:00. That is within the 10-hour day rate. The group leader holds a printed list and counts heads at each stop. The driver stays with the vehicle. If the lunch runs 45 minutes late, the day stays within the hours.
