A practical guide to taking a school class, a birthday party or a big family to Dubai Parks and Resorts in Jebel Ali: the right vehicle, the drive, the drop-off and the end-of-day crush.

Dubai Parks and Resorts is a cluster of attractions in Jebel Ali, south-west of the city: Motiongate Dubai, Bollywood Parks Dubai, Legoland Dubai, the Legoland Water Park and Riverland Dubai. For a group, it is one of the simplest trips from Dubai to organise, because everything is on one site and the drive is short.
It is also one of the easiest ways to lose half an hour at each end. A class of 40 arrives by taxi in drips. A birthday party of 14 splits over three cars, and one of them takes the wrong turn at the roundabout. A single vehicle with a single driver removes both problems. Everyone leaves from the same place, arrives at the same gate and goes home together.
We provide the vehicle and the driver. We don’t sell park tickets and we don’t set opening hours, so check both with the park. This guide is about getting the group there and back without a headache, and about the small decisions that make the day run smoothly.

Get a quoteThe parks are in Jebel Ali beside Sheikh Zayed Road, so for most groups the drive is one straight run down the main road. Times below are rough and assume off-peak roads.
| Starting from | Rough drive | Worth knowing |
|---|---|---|
| Dubai Marina and JBR | Around 15 to 25 minutes | The shortest run |
| Al Barsha and Dubai Hills | Around 25 to 35 minutes | Leave after the school run |
| Downtown Dubai and Business Bay | Around 35 to 50 minutes | Sheikh Zayed Road slows at peak |
| Deira, Bur Dubai and Creek Harbour | Around 45 to 65 minutes | Allow more for the morning run |
Weekday mornings are the slow part. If your group leaves Deira at 8am on a school day, add a margin. We build one into the pick-up time and tell you what we assumed, so you can adjust the park arrival if the park wants a time slot.
Seats are passenger seats, and for a children’s trip the supervising adults need seats as well. Do the count with them included.
For children, we recommend not squeezing the seats. A class of 26 with four adults is exactly 30, and the morning a parent volunteer turns up, you have a problem. We would rather quote the next size up than a tight fit. Every seat has a seat belt, and the driver asks everyone to buckle up before moving off.
Large parks have a coach drop-off arrangement, and the details can change. Before your day, ask the park’s group team where coaches stop and where they wait. We check the same point with them and tell your group leader exactly where the vehicle will be, so the first thing your group does on arrival is not hunt for it.
On a day booking the driver stays at the site. The vehicle is parked, kept cool and available for anything the group needs to drop off or collect. Bags with spare clothes, towels for the water park and the packed lunch can stay on board, which is more convenient than carrying them through a park.
At the end of the day, agree a pick-up time and one meeting point with the driver, not just a rough hour. Say “the coach is at the coach bay at 5.30pm”, not “see you in the afternoon”. The group leader’s job is to count heads before boarding, and the driver will be there.
Closing time is when everyone wants to leave at once. Queues build at the exit, at the car parks and on the road back to Sheikh Zayed Road. A group that leaves 20 to 30 minutes before the park empties, or that stays for a last ride and a meal, usually reaches home sooner than one that joins the first wave.
For young children, plan for tired and hungry rather than cheerful. Seat the youngest near the front, keep drinks on board and tell the driver if the group needs the cabin quieter. Most children will sleep for the drive home, and that is when a smooth coach earns its fee.
Parts of the parks are outdoors, and Dubai’s weather decides how comfortable the day is. From October to April it suits most groups. From May to September, midday is hot. Plan the outdoor rides for the morning, spend the middle of the day indoors or in the water park, and go back out later.
The vehicle is cooled before the group boards and stays cool between stops, so it is the right place to wait for a late child or to rest. Bring sun protection, water bottles and a change of shoes. Public holidays and school holidays bring bigger crowds, and some days the park sells out. For those dates, tell us early so we have a vehicle free.
Most schools need a short transport brief for the trip approval file. Tell us what your form asks for when you book and we confirm in writing what we can supply and by when. Give us the number of children, the number of adults and any child with a special need, such as a wheelchair or a medical condition, so the driver and the seating are planned.
Keep each class on its own vehicle where you can. Head counts stay simple, and a delay on one coach does not hold up the others. Our school bus rental page covers the wider process for trips and team days.
This is an example, not a template. A Year 3 class of 32 with six adults leaves a school in Al Barsha for Legoland Dubai.
A 50-seater covers it, from AED 1,450 per day, because the whole run is within Dubai. Tolls and parking are listed on the quote.
Example 1: a birthday party of 11. A 13-seater van from AED 900 per day takes eight children and three parents from Jumeirah, with room for a cake box.
Example 2: a family of 15 from Downtown. A Mercedes Sprinter takes the whole family in one vehicle, with the stroller in the luggage space.
These use our starting day prices. Your own quote depends on the date, the hours and the route.
More on pricing is in our bus rental price guide, and the coach rental page describes the two coaches. A weekend plan for a different park is in our Dubai to Yas Island page.

Quick answers for this trip.
In Jebel Ali, south-west of Dubai Marina and beside Sheikh Zayed Road. The drive is about 15 to 25 minutes from the Marina and 45 to 65 minutes from Deira, outside the rush hours.
Count the children and the adults. Up to 30 people fit in the mini coach, and 31 to 50 need the 50-seater. We would rather quote the next size up than a tight fit.
Yes, on a day booking. The driver stays at the agreed point, keeps the vehicle cool and is at the meeting point at the time you set.
Yes. Spare clothes, towels and packed lunches can stay on board, and it is easier than carrying them round the park. Keep valuables with you.
No. We are a transport company. Book tickets with the park and check its opening times yourself.
Strollers fold into the luggage space of the vans, and folding wheelchairs go in the coach hold. Tell us when you book so we confirm the details in writing.
After the morning school run if you can, so the drive is shorter. Leave in time for the park’s opening, which you should check with the park.
Agree a fixed pick-up point and time. Leaving 20 to 30 minutes before the park empties, or staying for a last meal, is often quicker than joining the first wave.
Free on request in our cars, SUVs and vans. For coaches, tell us the age of the youngest children and we confirm in writing what we can arrange.
