Groups from Nigeria and West Africa

Dubai transport for Nigerian groups.

A pastor, a business organiser or a family head planning a Dubai trip for 20 or 60 people has a long list: big cases, late landings, services or meetings on set times, and one vehicle plan for all of it. Here is how we work through it.

Who is booking, and for whom

The person asking for a quote is often not the traveller: a church administrator booking for the congregation, a company manager booking for a delegation, a family member booking for a wedding or a naming ceremony. That is fine. We need one contact who can answer questions about headcount, flights and timings, and who can pass the plan to the group.

We are a transport company with drivers. We do not sell tours, event tickets, hotel rooms or visas, and we do not run the programme. Your organiser does that. We bring vehicles and drivers on the agreed times, and we put the price in writing before you confirm.

Prices depend on the date and group size. Get yours in a minute.

Luggage first, seats second

On long-haul trips, luggage often decides the vehicle more than seats do. Guests travelling from West Africa for a week or two, or for a family event, often carry large cases plus gifts and formal clothes in garment bags. A van that seats 13 may carry bags for seven.

So ask the group before you book: how many large cases per person, how many garment bags, any boxes or equipment for the event. Give us the real number. A rule we use is one medium suitcase per passenger in a full-size coach hold, and fewer for the smaller vehicles. If your group carries more, we add a luggage vehicle, which is often a 13-seater van or a Mercedes Sprinter following the coach.

Long flights and late landings

Flights from Lagos or Abuja to Dubai take around 7 to 8 hours on a direct service, but check your airline for your own routing, since schedules vary and some itineraries connect. Dubai is 3 hours ahead of Nigeria. Many flights land late at night or in the small hours, and the group then waits in immigration and baggage claim.

We track the landing time. If the aircraft is early or late, the pick-up moves. For a group of 40 or more, allow time for the whole party to clear arrivals and collect bags before the coach leaves. We hold the vehicle on the waiting allowance listed in your quote, and the driver tells the group leader when the allowance is about to end.

For business hotels, see DXB to Business Bay and DIFC. Our big group arrival guide explains how the driver meets a group that arrives in pieces.

Planning for church groups and conferences

Church and fellowship groups often travel with fixed times in the day: a morning service, an afternoon session, an evening gathering. The vehicle has to be at the hotel when the leader says so, and not ten minutes later. Give us the schedule for each day with the venue address, and we write the pick-up times back to you.

Check the venue or organiser for its rules on dates, opening hours and entry. Venue hire and permits are for your organiser to arrange. For larger events, our event transport page sets out how we plan shuttle loops between hotels and a venue.

Business delegations and trade visits

Business groups from Nigeria come to Dubai for trade meetings, exhibitions and supplier visits. A delegation of 12 to 30 usually wants a vehicle that looks professional and keeps to a programme of meetings. A V-Class works for a small team, a Sprinter or mini coach for a larger one, and executive cars alongside for the senior guests.

For a week of meetings the cleanest plan is one vehicle and driver on the same loop every day, which you can price as a block. See delegation bus hire for the model we use at large exhibitions, which also works for other trade weeks.

Family events: weddings, birthdays and celebrations

A family event brings guests in from the hotel to a venue, often in the evening, and back late at night. Dress matters, and so does timing. The vehicle should arrive early enough that formal outfits are not crushed, with air-conditioning on and room to sit.

For the return, agree a pick-up time and a waiting allowance before the night. Events overrun, and the quote should say how late the driver stays and what happens after. For more on this, see our guide to booking a wedding car and the page on wedding cars with a driver.

Sizing example: 45 guests, one hotel, one venue

ItemPlan (example only)
Guests45, with about 55 large cases
ArrivalOne 50-seater coach and one van for the overflow bags
Event daysOne coach for the hotel to venue loop
DepartureThe same two vehicles

At the starting rates, the coach is from AED 1,450 per day and the van from AED 900 per day, each for a full day of up to 10 hours with driver and fuel. Your written quote confirms the exact price for your date, route and hours, and the arrival and departure legs are priced as transfers.

Timing around Friday, Ramadan and holidays

The UAE working week and prayer times can affect venue opening hours, and public holidays and Ramadan move each year. Ask your venue for its own times. Heavy-traffic windows are mainly the weekday mornings and evenings, and we plan buffers around them. Our peak season guide shows the busiest months.

What to send us

Send the dates, the headcount, flight numbers, bag counts, hotel and venue addresses, and the times you need. We reply with a fixed written quote. See the price page for starting rates and the coach rental page for coach details. When you are ready, ask for a fixed written quote. We do not give visa advice. Check the official ICP and GDRFA sites.

Frequently asked.

Quick answers for this trip.

How much luggage should we plan for?

Ask each traveller for the number of large cases, garment bags and boxes. Send the real total. A full-size coach hold takes about one medium suitcase per passenger, and extra bags go in a second vehicle.

What if the group lands in the early hours?

Send the flight number. The driver tracks the landing and waits in arrivals. Hotel rooms may not be ready until later in the day, so ask the hotel about early check-in or luggage storage.

Can one vehicle serve a church conference for several days?

Yes. Put each day and each time in one request. We quote a vehicle and driver for every day and do our best to keep the same driver.

Do you quote in naira?

No. Quotes are in AED. Convert at your own bank’s rate when you compare with prices in another currency.

Can the driver wait through a long event?

Yes, with an agreed waiting allowance. The quote states how late the driver stays and how extra hours are billed.

Do you supply sound equipment or decoration?

No. We supply vehicles and drivers. A PA microphone for a guide is available on request in our coaches.

Can you meet small groups arriving on different flights?

Yes. Give each flight its own line with the number of people and bags, and we plan one vehicle per wave or combine flights that land close together.

Do you give visa advice?

No. Entry rules change, so check with your airline or the official UAE immigration sites (ICP and GDRFA).

Count the bags. We’ll size the vehicles.
