Filipino groups, Dubai to the race

The Abu Dhabi Grand Prix runs 3 to 6 December 2026 at Yas Marina Circuit. Filipino groups going from Dubai are usually big, mixed in age and travelling with food and a lot of phones. This page covers what to settle before you ask for a quote.

Two kinds of Filipino group

There are two quite different groups asking for race-weekend transport. The first lives in the UAE already and wants a day out in Abu Dhabi for a family, a workplace circle or a barkada of friends. The second flies in from the Philippines, stays in Dubai, and treats the race as one part of a longer holiday with relatives who are already here.

Both groups tend to be larger than a taxi can handle. Cousins, an aunt, two children and a friend of a friend turn a plan for five into a plan for eleven within a week. We do not mind. What helps is giving us a headcount range now, and the final number later. See the 13-seater van for groups of up to about a dozen, and the 30-seater mini coach once you pass that.

Four hours ahead: reading the quote from Manila

The Philippines is on UTC+8 and the UAE on UTC+4, so Manila is four hours ahead of Dubai all year. A pickup at 10:00 in Dubai is 14:00 in Manila. If a relative at home is coordinating by message, the sentence "we leave at 10" will be misread unless you add which clock you mean.

Every time on our written quote is UAE local time. Forward the quote as it is, and ask your relatives to add four hours only when they need to follow along from home. The flight from Manila to Dubai is about 8 to 9 hours; check your airline for direct options and arrival times, since these change by day.

The ride to Yas, hotel by hotel

Groups in the UAE usually come from Deira, Bur Dubai, Al Barsha, Karama, Satwa, Sharjah or the Marina. Normal-traffic times to Yas Marina Circuit are roughly these:

Pickup areaTo Yas Marina, normal traffic
Dubai Marina, JBRAbout 1 h to 1 h 15
Downtown, Business BayAbout 1 h 30
DXB airportAbout 1 h 15 to 1 h 30
Abu Dhabi city, Corniche sideAbout 30 min

Deira, Karama and Sharjah sit a little further out than Downtown, so expect a longer run than the table shows. We state the pickup time on the quote after you give the exact starting point. The Darb gate at Ghantoot and the Salik gates appear as lines on the quote.

A day with a mixed-age group

Eleven people, grandmother to teenager

A 13-seater van collects from a building in Al Barsha at 10:30, picks up a second family nearby, and drives to Yas with a stop agreed in advance. The slower walkers need a drop-off point close to the entrance, which the driver confirms on arrival. When the group wants to leave early with the youngest, that is easier if the driver and a group leader share a phone number from the start.

Office team of 40, mid-week hotel plan

Forty people is a 50-seater coach or two smaller ones. We suggest two vehicles if the team splits between a late finish and a quieter exit, because one coach has to wait for everyone, and a long list of latecomers is hard to manage in a crowd. If you have a team lead or organiser, put their name and mobile number on the quote, so the driver knows who decides when the group is ready to leave. Tell us too if any colleague needs step-free boarding or a seat near the door.

Food, water and what goes on the bus

Filipino outings very often involve packed food, a cooler and a shared plan for who brings what. Tell us up front. A cooler and several bags take real floor space, and a van with a full set of seats plus a cooler is tight. Check the circuit rules for what you may carry in, because we cannot confirm what security allows on the day.

We do not offer food on board unless the quote says so. Water on the vehicle is something to ask for on the booking form, not assume.

Phones, group chats and the briefing

Most coordination happens in group chats, and plans change by the hour. Choose one person as the contact for the driver and give us that number. One clear contact avoids three different people telling the driver three different things at the circuit exit.

Our drivers work in English. If you would like the pickup note translated from a written briefing in Filipino or any other language, send it and we translate the note for the driver. We would rather say that plainly than promise a driver we do not have.

After the race, the following week

The race ends on Sunday 6 December. GITEX Global follows on 8 to 11 December at Expo City Dubai. If anyone in the group works in technology, the Grand Prix then GITEX plan puts both on one quote. Hotel transfers after the race are covered on the Dubai to Yas Marina page.

We do not sell tickets and we do not give visa advice. Entry rules change, so ask your airline or check the official UAE immigration sources, ICP or GDRFA. Check the official schedule for session times.

Ask for the written quote

Send the pickup areas, the headcount range, flight numbers if anyone arrives from Manila, and how many bags and coolers you expect. We reply with a fixed written quote in AED. Use the booking form to start, and see the bus rental price guide, the vehicle size comparison and airport transfer page for how vehicle choice affects the quote.

Frequently asked.

Quick answers for this trip.

What is the time difference between Manila and the UAE?

Manila is four hours ahead of the UAE all year. A 10:00 pickup in Dubai is 14:00 in Manila. Every time on our quote is UAE local time, so add four hours only when you are relaying it home.

Can you carry a group of 40 from Sharjah or Deira?

Yes, with a 50-seater coach or two smaller vehicles. Sharjah and Deira sit further out than the Marina, so the pickup time is set once you give the exact starting point.

Can we bring a cooler and packed food?

Usually yes, but a cooler takes floor space, so tell us before we choose the vehicle. Check the circuit rules on what you may carry in, as we cannot confirm what security allows.

How far is Yas Marina from Dubai Marina?

About 1 hour to 1 hour 15 in normal traffic. On race days it takes longer, particularly near the circuit, so we plan an earlier departure and agree the return time with you.

Do your drivers speak Filipino?

No. Our drivers work in English. Send us your written briefing in your language and we translate the pickup note for the driver.

We are not sure how many will come. Can you quote a range?

Yes. Give us a minimum and a maximum headcount and we show a vehicle that fits both. The final number can follow closer to the date.

Can the driver wait while we watch the race?

Yes. The waiting hours are written on the quote. Agree the meeting point near the circuit and the return time with the driver at the start of the day.

Do you sell race tickets or give visa advice?

No to both. Buy tickets through the official channels and check the official schedule. Entry rules change, so check with your airline or the ICP and GDRFA sites.
