Between November and March the weather is kind and the diary is full. Conferences, tournaments, holidays and weddings all fall in the same months, and drivers and coaches are in short supply on the busiest dates. Book early, and know which weeks to worry about.

Book as soon as your dates and numbers are firm. For a van or a car, a few weeks ahead is sensible in peak season. For a 30-seater or a 50-seater coach, a month or more. For a date that falls on a major event or holiday weekend, earlier still. This is our planning advice, not a rule, and we will tell you honestly if a date is already full.
In the quiet months, the same booking could be made a few days ahead. The difference is not the price of the coach but whether there is one.

Get a quoteThe summer heat sends visitors home and moves events indoors, so the calendar thins out. From November the city fills again. Hotels are fuller, conferences return, schools run trips, and weddings concentrate in the cooler months. All of it needs vehicles with drivers, and the number of large vehicles on the road does not rise to match.
Larger vehicles go first because there are fewer of them. A request for one car on a Tuesday is easy to place. A request for three coaches on the weekend of a big event is not.
| Period | Why it is busy |
|---|---|
| November | Golf and sports events, trade shows and the start of the conference season |
| Early December | UAE National Day on 2 December and the long weekend around it |
| Mid to late December | School holidays, family visits and the run-up to New Year |
| New Year week | The busiest week of the year for events and private parties |
| January and February | Exhibitions and the main weeks for conferences |
| Ramadan and Eid | Dates move each year with the moon. Daytime demand falls and evening demand changes shape |
| March | Sporting finals and end-of-season events |
Exact event dates change every year, so check the official calendar for the ones that matter to you. The DP World Tour Championship in November, for example, is covered in our golf event transport guide.
| Vehicle | Suggested lead time in peak season |
|---|---|
| Sedan, SUV or V-Class | One to two weeks, longer for New Year |
| 13-seater van or Sprinter | Two to four weeks |
| 30-seater mini coach | Four weeks or more |
| 50-seater coach, or several vehicles | Four to six weeks, more for event weekends |
These are guides. Staff routes and multi-day programmes need longer notice because we have to hold the same driver and vehicle for the full period. The vehicle pages, such as the 50-seater coach and the 30-seater mini coach, show what each carries.
We confirm in writing with the vehicle, the hours and the waiting allowance. Our guide to the bus rental quote shows what each line means, and the price guide shows the starting day rates.
It happens. If your date is close, send the request anyway and be flexible where you can. A pick-up 30 minutes earlier or later, a drop-off at a different gate, or two smaller vehicles instead of one coach often makes the difference between yes and no.
Two smaller vehicles are worth considering for a group of 40. A 30-seater plus a 13-seater van can work when no 50-seater is free, but it means two drivers and two arrival points. If that is awkward for a wedding or a conference, say so and we look for another date or time.
For airport runs, a late booking is easier than a late coach booking. See airport transfers and van with driver.
Plans change, especially for events. Tell us as early as you can if numbers drop or rise, because a vehicle held for you is a vehicle another group cannot book. Your written quote sets out the terms, and the general terms page has the rest.
Larger vehicles go first, so book these earliest.
