Intersec Global 2027, three trade days.
The show is trade only and open to visitors aged 18 and over. This page covers the journey, not the badge: the Metro station in front of the halls, the airport run, the hotel districts nearby and where a pre-booked vehicle makes sense.

Dates, hours and who can attend
The organiser, Messe Frankfurt Middle East, lists Intersec Global 2027 for Tuesday 12 to Thursday 14 January 2027 at Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) on Sheikh Zayed Road. It gives one time range for all three days: 10:00 to 18:00. The event was called Intersec until recently, and you will see both names.
It is a trade show. The organiser’s FAQ says members of the general public cannot attend, and visitors under 18 are not permitted. Registration is free for eligible trade professionals, subject to the organiser’s entry requirements. Register on the organiser’s own site. We do not sell passes, badges or exhibitor space.
The organiser lists five areas under one visitor badge: National Security and Law Enforcement, Cybersecurity and Resilience, Surveillance and Physical Security, Fire, Rescue and Emergency Response, and Safety and Wellbeing. It names halls 2 to 8, Sheikh Saeed halls 1 to 3, Trade Centre Arena, Sheikh Rashid Hall, Shaikh Maktoum Hall and an outdoor display area. We could not find a map that matches areas to halls or the names of visitor entrances, so we quote neither.

- Metro: the organiser says the World Trade Centre station on the Dubai Metro is right in front of the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre. Check the RTA timetable page for your day. Show days are Tuesday to Thursday, and we found no late-night hours for the show.
- Taxi: Dubai Taxi Corporation is named, with bookings by phone. Ride-hailing apps are common in Dubai too.
- Car and parking: the organiser says free open parking lots are available close to the halls, and that multi-storey paid parking exists as well. It links a parking map. We give no figures.
- Bus: the RTA bus network is linked from the organiser’s page.
This is the first thing to read, and for a single visitor with a lanyard and a laptop bag it is often enough. Our DWTC event transport page explains the venue’s parking, Metro and shuttles in general.
From the airport and your hotel
The organiser says DWTC is about 10 minutes from the airport. Our own routing model, approximate and without traffic, gives 10 to 15 minutes from Terminal 3, so we write 10 to 15. Allow more at show times.
| From | To DWTC, about |
|---|---|
| Dubai Airport Terminal 3 | 10 to 15 minutes |
| Downtown Dubai | 5 to 10 minutes |
| Business Bay | 10 to 15 minutes |
| Deira | 10 to 15 minutes |
| Dubai Marina | 20 to 25 minutes |
| Palm Jumeirah | 25 to 30 minutes |
| Al Maktoum airport (DWC) | 45 to 55 minutes |
Downtown and Business Bay are the nearest hotel districts. If you want a hotel near the halls, read the Downtown, Business Bay and DIFC guide for another DWTC show, because the venue is the same. Our hotel drive times guide covers other areas.
Where a private vehicle fits
We are Dubai Bus Services. We are not the organiser’s transport provider, and a private vehicle is not part of the badge. It is a separate booking for people who want a set time.
That might be a buyer group of six that lands together and wants one car to the hotel. A sales team that wants one pick-up each morning and the same each evening. Colleagues arriving on different flights who want a meet-and-greet at DXB. For a single visitor, the Metro station in front of the halls will usually do.
We do not know whether a coach, minibus or chauffeur car may stop at a given point at DWTC during the show. We agree the drop-off point against the organiser’s current instructions before the day, and we never assume a bay.
Sizes run from the Mercedes V-Class and 13-seater van up to the Mercedes Sprinter and the 30-seater mini coach. Our airport transfer page explains how a pick-up works.
Planning the three days
The show opens at 10:00, so a pick-up from a Downtown or Business Bay hotel at about 09:00 is a reasonable start, but confirm it against your own diary. One plan is to cover the halls you came for on day one and keep the last day free for a meeting off site.
If you stay on after the show, the trade mission ground transport guide shows how a longer business trip is planned. Mid January is peak season, and larger vehicles go early.
Before you travel
Entry rules depend on your passport. Check the UAE government’s visa page, and read your own government’s travel advice page. The organiser also names a travel partner for visa help, so look at its site if you need it.
To ask for a quote, send the dates, the head count, the hotel and whether you need the airport legs. We reply with a fixed written quote before you accept. Use the booking page. If the organiser publishes a different transport plan, its website is the current notice.
