GITEX Global 2026, two venues, one plan.

The week is split across two sites. The one-day Summit is at Dubai World Trade Centre, then the four-day Expo moves to Expo City Dubai. Read what the organiser already runs first. A private vehicle is for the group that wants its own timing.

Two venues, two sets of dates

The organiser, whose site is gitex.com, runs GITEX Global 2026 from 7 to 11 December. The first day is The GITEX Summit, held at Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) on Sheikh Zayed Road. The Summit is a single day, Monday 7 December. The GITEX Global Expo and Conferences then run for four days, Tuesday 8 to Friday 11 December, at the Dubai Exhibition Centre (DEC) at Expo City Dubai.

The Expo used to be at DWTC. It has moved, and some older guides and one venue listing still show the old place or different dates. We follow the organiser’s dates and venues.

The organiser lists opening hours of 9:30 to 5:00 for the Summit, 10:00 to 5:00 for the Expo and 11:00 to 4:00 for the Conference. The listing is one line in the site footer, with no day-by-day split, so check gitex.com for the day you attend. Registration, delegate forms and group booking for entry are on the organiser’s own site. We do not sell tickets or passes.

The Red Line reaches both venues

The organiser’s Plan your visit page says Dubai Metro’s Red Line connects both venues: World Trade Centre Station for the Summit and Expo 2020 Station for the Expo.

  • At Expo City, the organiser gives the walk from Expo 2020 Station to the venue as approximately 5 to 10 minutes.
  • The organiser’s tip for the platform: two Red Line trains may arrive at the same platform, so take the train going to Expo 2020.
  • You need a Nol card. The organiser recommends a Silver or Gold card for several days of attendance and a Red Ticket for one-way or day-pass travel.
  • Check the RTA timetable for the last train. A late finish, a dinner or a networking evening can run past it.

The organiser also lists Park and Ride car parks at four Metro locations for visitors who drive to a station and ride the rest: Centrepoint, e&, National Paints and the Al Kifaf multistorey via Max Metro Station.

What the organiser runs: shuttles and drop-off points

Before you look at private options, know what the organiser has set up. The Plan your visit page says dedicated event shuttle services will connect key transport hubs, designated parking areas and the exhibition venue. The listed services are:

  • DWTC to DEC direct shuttles, for transfers between the Summit venue and the Expo venue.
  • Overflow parking shuttles, from designated overflow car parks to the venue.
  • Hotel and exhibitor shuttles, operating via the Transportation Hub.
  • Destination buses, with pick-up from the Transportation Hub.

Partner hotels booked through the organiser’s hotel programme, run with Atelier by Informa, list a complimentary daily shuttle to and from the venue. Ask your hotel whether it is one of them.

At the Expo venue the organiser names the points where each service stops. The South Drop-Off serves the DWTC to DEC direct buses, official event buses and overflow parking shuttles. The Transportation Hub (TH) serves destination buses, hotel buses, exhibitor shuttles and designated taxis. Expo 2020 Metro Station is the public transport interchange, with pedestrian links to the exhibition venue. Private vehicles may drop off only at designated locations, including the South Drop-Off area, and visitors are told to follow the signs and the traffic marshals.

The organiser adds that shuttle routes and operations may change, and that parking access, vehicle routes and drop-off arrangements may change on instruction from the relevant authorities. We could not find shuttle timetables or pick-up areas by hotel district, so we do not quote any.

Parking, taxis and ride-hailing

Both venues have on-site parking, with EV bays at DWTC. At the Expo the organiser lists dedicated visitor parking in zones P1 to P5, mobility parking and overflow facilities, with event shuttle connections where available. We do not print space counts or say whether parking is free or paid, because published sources disagree. Read the organiser’s parking map before you plan to drive.

Careem and Uber operate around the clock at both venues, according to the organiser. At the Expo, taxi and ride-hailing drop-off is at a designated area on Boulevard 2020 Street, as quoted from the venue’s own visitor guidance. For one or two people with light bags, that can be the least effort of all the options.

Where a private vehicle fits

We are Dubai Bus Services. We are not the organiser’s transport provider, not an official partner of GITEX, DWTC, DEC or Expo City, and the service below is separate from the organiser’s shuttles.

A pre-booked private vehicle suits a group that wants one driver all week, its own pick-up time at its own hotel and one set of faces in the vehicle. That tends to be a delegation, a company team, a booked block of rooms outside the partner hotels or a buyer group with meetings at set hours. A shuttle suits a person who is happy to join a scheduled run.

With us the vehicle is booked in advance, the driver is told the pick-up point and a time, and the written quote lists the stops and the hours. We do not know in advance whether a coach, minibus or chauffeur car may use the South Drop-Off or the Transportation Hub. We confirm the drop-off point against the organiser’s access plan before the day, and we never assume a bay.

Seat sizes run from the Mercedes V-Class for a small executive team, through the 13-seater van and the Mercedes Sprinter, to the 30-seater mini coach and the 50-seater coach. If your company needs a named account and invoices, the corporate chauffeur page explains how that works.

Moving from the Summit to the Expo

DWTC and Expo City are not walkable from each other. By road the distance is about 40 km. A free-flow route estimate puts it at approximately 36 minutes, which is a model with no event traffic in it, so allow more. The organiser runs DWTC to DEC direct shuttles for the move, and the Red Line links the two stations as well.

If your group wants to travel together on the Tuesday, with luggage still in the vehicle or a hotel change in between, a private vehicle for that one move is a clean use of it. Tell us both halves of your plan when you ask for a quote. Our DWTC event transport page covers the Summit-day venue and our Expo City page covers the Expo side.

Before you fly

Entry rules depend on your passport. Check the official UAE government visa page and the organiser’s visa section before you book anything. We do not give visa advice.

December is peak season in Dubai, so rooms and larger vehicles go early. If you are landing in Dubai, our airport transfer and big group arrival pages explain how pick-ups work.

Asking for a quote

Send us the dates, the number of people, the hotel or hotels, the days you attend and whether you need the airport leg. We reply with a fixed written quote before you accept. Use the booking page. If the organiser changes its shuttle plan or parking before December, check its Plan your visit page at gitex.com, which is the current notice.

Frequently asked.

Quick answers for this trip.

When and where is GITEX Global 2026?

The Summit is on Monday 7 December 2026 at Dubai World Trade Centre. The Expo and Conferences run Tuesday 8 to Friday 11 December 2026 at the Dubai Exhibition Centre, Expo City Dubai.

Is the Expo still at the World Trade Centre?

No. Only the one-day Summit on 7 December is at DWTC. The four Expo days are at Expo City Dubai. Check the organiser’s site if any listing shows something different.

Does the Metro go to both venues?

Yes. According to the organiser, the Red Line serves World Trade Centre Station for the Summit and Expo 2020 Station for the Expo. Take the train going to Expo 2020 if two trains share the platform.

Does the organiser run its own shuttles?

Yes. It lists DWTC to DEC direct shuttles, overflow parking shuttles, hotel and exhibitor shuttles via the Transportation Hub, and destination buses. Routes may change, so follow its signs and staff.

Are you the official GITEX transport provider?

No. We are a private company. We are not appointed by GITEX, DWTC or Expo City, and our vehicles are booked separately from the organiser’s shuttles.

Can a coach or van use the South Drop-Off?

We do not assume so. The organiser says private vehicles may drop off only at designated locations and to follow its marshals. We confirm the point against its access plan before the day.

Do you sell GITEX tickets?

No. Registration and group entry go through gitex.com. We provide the vehicle and the driver.

How much does a vehicle cost?

Ask for a fixed written quote. It depends on the dates, the group size and the route, and we put it in writing before you accept.
