For a show at DWTC you can take the Metro, a taxi or park on site. A group of exhibitors, staff or delegates is usually better on one pre-booked shuttle, because it arrives together and leaves together. Check which venue your show really uses first: some big ones do not sit at DWTC.
Your reference
Dubai World Trade Centre hosts many shows through the year, and the dwtc.com events list shows Gulfood Manufacturing and a run of trade fairs for food, education, health and industry. But a big name on a poster does not always mean the DWTC halls. The GITEX Global 2026 site puts its one-day summit at DWTC and its four-day expo at the Dubai Exhibition Centre at Expo City Dubai. The Gulfood site names both DWTC and the Dubai Exhibition Centre as venues.
So the first job is to open your show’s own visitor page and read the venue line. If your show is at Expo City, our Expo City Dubai transport page is the right one. If it is at DWTC, or split between the two, read on and tell us both halves when you ask for a quote.
Prices depend on the date and group size. Get yours in a minute.
Get my priceDWTC’s own website lists the Metro, taxis, Careem and Uber, and driving as the ways in. Here is how each one behaves on a busy show day.
| Option | Works well for | Watch out for |
|---|---|---|
| Dubai Metro | One or two people staying near a Red Line station | Platform crowds at opening and closing time, and a last train that may leave before a late finish |
| Taxi or ride-hailing | Small parties, off-peak arrivals | Queues at the pick-up points when a session ends |
| Driving yourself | One or two people with kit to carry | Car park entry in the morning rush, and finding your car among thousands |
| Pre-booked shuttle | Crews, delegations and any group of six or more | Needs a pick-up plan agreed in advance |
The venue has its own Metro station, World Trade Centre, on the Red Line. According to DWTC, direct road access is from Sheikh Zayed Road. Taxi and ride-hailing pick-up and drop-off points are set up inside the venue area, and queues build there when a big session ends.
On its Getting Here page, DWTC lists six paid car parks, two free car parks and an on-site valet service, with about 7,500 bays in total and some electric-vehicle charging. That is a lot of space, and it still fills on the opening day of a major show. Which car park is open to you, and what it costs, depends on the event and on the day.
For the exact rules, use the visitor guide or exhibitor manual from your show’s organiser, and the venue’s current notice. We do not print fees or gate rules here because they change from show to show.
If you decide to drive, arrive before the opening rush, note the car park and level, and agree who is driving home. The slowest part of the day is usually the car park exit, not the road.
We are not going to tell a solo visitor with a hotel next to a Metro station to book a shuttle. The train is quick and cheap. A shuttle starts to win when the group is bigger and the day is longer.
In summer there is one more reason. Anyone in business clothes who has walked between a station, a car park and a hall in July heat knows why a drop-off at the door is worth having.
A show week has three phases and they need different plans. Build-up days are early, with crews and kit. Show days are tight, with everyone arriving in the same hour. Breakdown is chaotic and often late. We price and plan each phase separately, so you do not pay for a coach you do not need on a quiet day.
Example: a company sends 24 people to a four-day show and houses them in two apartment blocks in Al Quoz. One 30-seater mini coach collects everyone at a fixed time each morning, drops them at the organiser’s coach drop-off and returns at the agreed time in the evening. On build-up day the same coach starts earlier to carry the kit. At our starting price the coach is from AED 1,100 per day, for up to 10 hours with driver and fuel, and each day is listed on one quote.
For 16 or fewer, a Mercedes Sprinter keeps the team together, and for 40 or more, a 50-seater coach removes the need for two vehicles. A smaller crew of up to 13 can use the 13-seater van. If your people live in company accommodation and the hall is just one of several sites, see staff transport in Dubai for a longer-term arrangement.
Speakers and senior guests do not want to queue for a shuttle. For them we use an executive sedan, a luxury SUV or the Mercedes V-Class, with a name board at the airport and a drop-off arranged around the show’s access plan. The ride from Dubai International Airport to the venue is around 20 to 30 minutes outside the peaks. On opening day, allow extra.
Our airport chauffeur and corporate chauffeur pages explain how meet-and-greet and account booking work. If you are moving a larger conference across several hotels, the planning method on our event transport page is the better starting point than this one.
Almost every transport problem at a show happens at closing time. Thousands of people leave in the same half hour, phones are slow and every white vehicle looks the same.
Our approach is dull and it works. We agree a pick-up point with you before the show, ideally one the organiser allows for coaches and private hire. The group leader and the driver swap mobile numbers. The leader sends a message when the team is packed up, and the driver brings the vehicle round. Where vehicles can stop and load is set by the venue and the organiser for each event, so the driver confirms the point on the day.
For evening events, the same vehicle can take the team from the hall to dinner, then to their accommodation, on a single day hire.
We price per vehicle, not per person. Starting prices are in the bus rental price guide: from AED 900 per day for a 13-seater van, from AED 1,100 for a 30-seater mini coach, from AED 1,450 for a 50-seater coach and from AED 2,450 for a Mercedes Sprinter, each for up to 10 hours with driver and fuel. Tolls, parking and extra hours go on your written quote, and nothing is charged until you confirm.
Send the show name, the venue, the dates, the number of people, the pick-up addresses and a mobile number through the booking page. Book as early as you can for the big weeks, because coaches are in demand across the city at the same time. The peak season guide explains which weeks fill first.

Quick answers for this trip.
Yes. DWTC lists six paid car parks, two free car parks and an on-site valet service on its Getting Here page. What is open to you and what it costs depends on the event, so check your show’s visitor guide and the venue’s current notice.
Yes. World Trade Centre station is on the Red Line and is the venue’s own station. Check the RTA timetable for the last train, because a late finish can run past it.
The GITEX Global 2026 website lists the one-day summit at Dubai World Trade Centre and the four-day expo at the Dubai Exhibition Centre, Expo City Dubai. Check the organiser’s page for your own ticket type before you plan transport.
Yes, for exhibitor teams, staff and delegates. The Gulfood website names both Dubai World Trade Centre and the Dubai Exhibition Centre as venues, so tell us which halls you will be in and we plan the drop-offs.
A Mercedes Sprinter takes up to 16, a 30-seater mini coach 22 to 30 and a 50-seater coach up to 50. For an exhibitor crew we usually size the vehicle to the group with a few seats to spare for late arrivals.
Within reason. Roll-ups, laptops and boxes of brochures fit in a coach hold or the rear of a van. For pallets or heavy freight, use a logistics company and keep the shuttle for people.
At the drop-off the organiser allows for coaches and private hire. We check the show’s access plan before the day and the driver confirms the point on arrival.
Yes. Each phase is a separate day on one written quote, so you can use a bigger vehicle on build-up and breakdown days and a smaller one on quiet show days.
