Two May shows, one Expo City venue.

What the organisers say

The GISEC Global site lists the 2027 show for 4 to 6 May and says it is set to take place at Dubai Exhibition Centre (DEC). The same page still carries a banner from the previous edition saying the show moves to DEC. We treat that wording as out of date and rely on the dates. Middle East Energy lists 11 to 13 May 2027 at Dubai Exhibition Centre, Expo City, with a daily hours table. We are not the organiser of either show and not their transport provider.

DEC’s own What’s On list, when we looked on 31 October 2026, showed other shows in early 2027 but no May entry yet. So the dates here are the organisers’ own. Check them again close to your trip. If the dates change, we adjust the quote.

The two weeks side by side

The shows are one week apart, on the same three weekdays. A delegation that attends both will make two separate trips to the same site.

How far the venue is

Our figures come from OpenStreetMap routing with no traffic, to a point at the north of DEC, so they are approximate. Show days, and the first hour after opening, will add time.

A Marina or JBR hotel sits closest to Expo City, and a Downtown or Deira hotel sits closer to the World Trade Centre. For visitor transport details at this site, see our guides for Automechanika and HYROX Dubai, which cover shows held here this year.

The show across town

Arabian Travel Market runs from 3 to 6 May 2027 at Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC), according to its organiser, so it overlaps the GISEC dates. The two venues are about 40 km apart by road, around 36 minutes in our model. A party split between the shows needs two vehicles, or a clear plan for the crossing. What is not published

When we checked on 31 October 2026, we found no GISEC daily hours, no visitor shuttle and no coach bay. DEC’s getting-here page printed no transport text for us, and we found no coach or minibus drop-off point at the venue.

So we plan from your hotel to the venue and back, and we agree a drop-off point and a collection point with you once an organiser or the venue publishes one. We cannot promise a stop at any hall entrance.

One more date sits near the second show. Gulf News expects the Arafah Day and Eid Al Adha break around 15 to 18 May 2027, subject to moon sighting. If your delegation flies out after the energy show, ask us early about departures on 13 and 14 May.

Planning the day

Start from the opening time. For an example, a group staying in Dubai Marina that wants to arrive for the 10:00 opening of the energy show. At about 25 minutes modelled, plus a margin for queues at the entrance and registration, the vehicle might leave at about 08:45. Your hotel, group size and the day will change the sum. For GISEC, ask the organiser for the hours first, since we found none.

Choosing the vehicle

Count passengers first and bags second. Our guide figures:

• Mercedes V-Class: up to 7 passengers and 6 bags.
• 13-seater HiAce: up to 13 passengers and about 10 suitcases.
• Mercedes Sprinter: up to 16 passengers and up to 12 suitcases.
• 30-seater mini coach and 50-seater coach for a larger delegation.

How a booked vehicle fits

1. Send the plan. Dates, hotel area, party size, bags and the show hours you must make.
2. Ask for a fixed written quote. Nothing is charged until you confirm.
3. Read the pick-up and drop-off arrangement. The quote states it, and we update it when the organisers publish their notices.
4. Agree the return time. We plan the margin and tell you what is not yet published.
5. Tell us if plans change. We adjust where we can, and cannot promise to beat traffic.
