Emirates Dubai 7s, by private vehicle.

Rugby sevens weekend is a long day for a group: an early start, a day on your feet, music in the evening and a late exit with thousands of other people. The stadium has parking, a taxi rank and free evening buses. A private vehicle with a driver is for the group that wants to arrive and leave together.

What is confirmed and what you must check

The organisers’ own site, emiratesdubai7s.com, sells passes for Friday 27, Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 November 2026 at The Sevens Stadium. World Rugby’s SVNS site says the HSBC SVNS 3 tournament is played on 27 and 28 November, alongside the opening round of the HSBC SVNS Series 2027, with 28 international men’s and women’s teams across both tournaments. The match schedule for the top tier was published on 26 October 2026. It has pool matches on Saturday from 10am, the last one starting at 8:22pm, and Sunday’s play-offs, semi-finals and finals running into the evening, with the finals from 19:35.

Those are the facts we can stand behind. What we could not find is the gate opening time for each day, the rules for private minibuses and coaches at the stadium, or where a coach may park and wait. The organisers’ page says there is ample parking on site for ticket holders and a dedicated taxi drop-off point. It does not say what applies to a hired coach. Check the event’s current notice and the event app, and send us what they say.

We do not sell tickets and we are not part of the event. We provide the vehicle, the driver and fuel.

Where the stadium is and how long the drive takes

The Sevens Stadium is on the E66 Dubai to Al Ain road. The organisers publish their own drive times: 28 minutes from Dubai International Airport, 29 from Business Bay, 28 from Motor City, 35 from Dubai Marina and 27 from Jebel Ali. Those are the organisers’ off-peak figures. On a festival evening the road out will be slower, so we tell groups to plan for longer than the figure and not to tie the exit to a tight dinner or a flight.

Depending on where your group starts, the route may pass Salik gates. Our Salik and Darb guide explains how tolls are listed on a quote.

What the organisers already run

It is fair to start with what is free, because for some groups it is enough. The organisers list free festival buses from the stadium on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, every 15 minutes between 7pm and 1:30am. The five stops are DMCC Metro in JLT, Sports City, Studio City, Financial Centre Metro in DIFC and the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Stadium. The bus station is through the arch to the left of the main exit.

There is also an RTA taxi rank to the right of the main exit, under the arch, and a separate pick-up and drop-off point for taxi and app rides. If you drive, the stadium says it has space for 15,000 cars for its larger events.

The page describes buses leaving the stadium. We found nothing on it about a free bus to the stadium, so check whether one runs before you count on it.

Where the free options stop short for a group

None of this is a criticism. It is a list of the gaps that a group leader will notice on the day.

OptionWorks well forWatch out for
Free festival busIndividuals going to JLT, DIFC, Studio City or Sports City after 7pmFixed stops, not your hotel. It starts at 7pm, so it does not help with an afternoon exit. A full group may not fit on one bus.
RTA taxi or ride-hailingPairs and small partiesA group of ten needs three cars, and the queue builds when the last match ends
Driving yourselfA car with a driver who is not drinkingFinding the car after dark, the car park exit, and who stays sober. Not a plan for a party day.
Pre-booked van or coach with a driverOffices, clubs, hosted guests and families who want to stay togetherNeeds an agreed drop-off and pick-up spot. Quoted for your hours.

A group that splits across three taxis loses an hour at each end finding the others. One vehicle removes that, and the driver can collect people from different addresses on the way.

What to tell your group before the day

These rules come from the organisers’ FAQ and they affect how a vehicle fits into the day.

  • Tickets are digital. The organisers say printed tickets are not accepted, and tickets sit in the wallet of the event app. Everyone should have the app installed and logged in before they leave the car.
  • There are no lockers. The organisers ask guests to bring only what they need and to keep it with them.
  • Food and drink cannot be brought in, apart from baby food. There are free water stations inside.
  • There is no drop-off creche in 2026, and the kids’ zone runs from 10am to 6pm. If you have children in the group, plan the return for them first.

If the vehicle waits nearby, ask the driver about leaving coats and bags on board. Whether it can wait close to the gate depends on the stadium’s arrangements for coaches, which we have not seen.

Three ways to plan the day

  • Day hire with the driver waiting. One vehicle collects the group from the office or the hotels, drops them at the agreed point and waits nearby. The group messages when they are ready and the driver comes round. Simple, and the quote lists the hours it covers.
  • Drop in the morning, collect at night. The vehicle takes the group out for the first match and returns for the evening. This suits a company with a staff event on the Saturday, when the day is long and nobody wants a driver idling for hours.
  • Two runs, two vehicles. A morning crowd goes out in a van and a later group arrives for the evening acts and finals. Each run is quoted for its own hours.

Whichever you choose, agree three things with the driver. Where you are dropped. Where you will be collected, which should be a short walk from the busiest exit. And the time the group wants to leave, with a fallback for a late final.

Choosing the vehicle

For five to seven guests, the Mercedes V-Class keeps the party together. A group of around ten fits the 13-seater van, and up to sixteen can use the Mercedes Sprinter. A company outing of 20 to 30 suits the 30-seater mini coach, and a club or office of up to 50 can ride in the 50-seater coach. Our coach rental and minibus rental pages have more detail, and the vehicle size guide compares seats and luggage.

Starting day rates are in the table below. They are for a full day (up to 10 hours) within Dubai, with driver and fuel. Your written quote confirms the price for your date, your hours and your route.

A worked example

Example: an office in Business Bay takes 26 staff and guests to the Saturday programme. A 30-seater mini coach collects them at 11:00, drops them at the point agreed for coaches and goes to wait where the stadium allows. The group watches matches, eats and listens to music. At about 21:00 the group leader messages, the driver brings the coach to the agreed spot and everyone is back at the office or on their way home without waiting for a bus or a taxi.

The organisers’ own figure puts the stadium 29 minutes from Business Bay off-peak. We would book the coach for the whole day. At our starting price that is from AED 1,100 per day, for up to 10 hours with driver and fuel. A day that runs longer, or a route with extra stops, is priced on the written quote.

Booking

Send the date, the number of guests, the pick-up addresses, the days of the weekend you will attend and your mobile number through the booking page. We reply with a written quote that lists the vehicle, the route, the hours and any Salik or parking charges before you accept. Late November is peak season in Dubai, and the larger vehicles go first, so book as soon as your group is confirmed.

Frequently asked.

Quick answers for this trip.

When is the Emirates Dubai 7s in 2026?

The organisers sell passes for Friday 27, Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 November 2026 at The Sevens Stadium. The HSBC SVNS match schedule published on 26 October 2026 has the top-tier matches on Saturday and Sunday.

Where is The Sevens Stadium?

On the E66 Dubai Al Ain road. The organisers give off-peak drive times of 28 minutes from Dubai International Airport, 29 from Business Bay, 35 from Dubai Marina and 27 from Jebel Ali.

Is there a free bus to the Emirates Dubai 7s?

The organisers list free festival buses from the stadium on all three days, every 15 minutes from 7pm to 1:30am, to DMCC Metro in JLT, Sports City, Studio City, Financial Centre Metro in DIFC and the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Stadium. We did not find a free bus to the stadium, so check the current notice.

Can a private minibus or coach drop us at the gate?

That depends on the stadium’s arrangements for the weekend, which we have not seen. We agree a drop-off and a separate pick-up spot with you, and the driver confirms both against the event’s current notice. We do not assume access.

Where will the driver wait during the matches?

Usually away from the entrance, at a spot agreed with you. The organisers say there is parking on site for ticket holders. Whether a coach can wait there is something to check before the day.

Can you collect people from different hotels or offices?

Yes. Give us the addresses and times and we plan the route, so one vehicle serves the whole group. The quote lists the stops.

Which vehicle suits a group of twelve?

The 13-seater van keeps everyone together. If the group has bags or flags to carry, the Sprinter has more room.

Do you sell tickets or hospitality?

No. We provide the vehicle, the driver and fuel. Tickets and hospitality come from the organisers or an authorised seller, and the organisers say tickets are held in the event app.

Can the vehicle take us there in the morning and bring us back at night?

Yes. Day hire covers a drop, a wait and a return, or two separate runs, and the written quote shows the hours for each.

How far ahead should we book?

As soon as your group is confirmed. Late November is peak season in Dubai, and larger vehicles are booked first.
