Your reference
Car rental in Dubai with a driver gets you a car, someone to drive it and a fixed price. No rental desk. No deposit on a self-drive car. No learning which lane of Sheikh Zayed Road you need for the Al Khail exit. You decide how long you need the car, and the driver deals with the route, the parking, the tolls and the waiting.
We run four classes of car, each with its driver: an executive sedan, a luxury SUV, the seven-seat Mercedes V-Class and a Rolls-Royce. Every booking starts with a written quote that names the car and lists the tolls, parking and waiting allowance. Nothing is charged until you confirm it.
This page puts every option in one place, so you can pick the right kind of booking and the right car, and see roughly what it will cost before you ask us.
Prices depend on the date and group size. Get yours in a minute.
Get my price| Booking | Good for | How it is priced |
|---|---|---|
| One way or return | Airport runs, hotel moves, a trip to another emirate | Per trip; sedan routes from AED 120 one way |
| By the hour | Meetings, appointments, an evening out | From four hours within Dubai, at the hourly rate on your quote |
| Full day | Sightseeing, a business day, a family day | Up to 10 hours, from AED 950 per day |
| Several days or monthly | Long stays, regular routines, executives on assignment | Quoted on request for your schedule |
The simplest booking. A pick-up, a destination and a time. It covers arrivals and departures at DXB and DWC, a move between hotels or a run to another emirate. The waiting allowance is written on the quote, and on airport jobs we track the flight. See airport transfers and our routes from Dubai.
From four hours within Dubai, the car and driver stay with you between stops. A meeting that overruns or a string of appointments across town is covered, and so is dinner followed by drinks somewhere else. Extra hours are charged at the rate on your quote. More on hourly chauffeur hire.
Up to 10 hours with the same car and driver. You stop watching the clock. Our page on a full-day car with driver has suggested routes for Old Dubai, the new city and the coast.
For a long stay or a regular routine, send the days and hours you need and we price the schedule as a whole. We don’t publish monthly prices, because they depend entirely on how many days, how many hours and which car. Our personal driver page explains how regular bookings work.
| Car | Passengers | Suitcases | Starting price |
|---|---|---|---|
| Executive sedan (S-Class or similar) | 4 | 3 | From AED 950 per day |
| Luxury SUV (Escalade or similar) | 6 | 5 | From AED 1,100 per day |
| Mercedes V-Class | 7 | 6 | From AED 1,150 per day |
| Rolls-Royce (Cullinan or Ghost, or similar) | 4 | 2 | From AED 3,500 per day |
Passenger numbers don’t include the driver, and suitcases are medium cases. Choose by people and luggage first. The price follows.
One business traveller with a carry-on belongs in the executive sedan, which has privacy glass and a back seat quiet enough for calls. A couple with two big cases and a golf bag is already too much for a sedan’s boot, so we’d send the SUV. A family of five with a pram also goes in the SUV: child seats in the second row, pram folded behind the third.
Seven people, whether colleagues or three generations of one family, go in the V-Class, with six bags behind. And for an anniversary or a VIP arrival, the Rolls-Royce comes with a chauffeur in formal uniform.
You may notice that the sedan has the lowest starting price, and the SUV and the V-Class cost more. You are paying for space: the SUV takes six passengers and five suitcases, and the V-Class takes seven and six. For the cars as limousines, with more detail on each, see limousine hire in Dubai.
Self-drive car hire is popular in Dubai, and for some trips it’s the right call. Per day, a small self-drive car costs less than a car with a driver. But the daily rate isn’t the whole comparison.
| Point | Car with driver | Self-drive rental |
|---|---|---|
| Who drives | A professional driver | You |
| Licence | Not needed | A valid licence; some visitors also need an International Driving Permit |
| Payment | Nothing charged until you confirm the quote | Usually a deposit or card hold at pick-up |
| Tolls and parking | Listed on your fixed quote | Usually charged to you, often after the rental ends |
| Finding the way and parking | The driver’s job | Yours |
| At the airport | Driver waiting in arrivals | Rental desk, paperwork, then the car park |
Self-drive suits a visitor who enjoys driving, wants a car for a week of exploring on their own schedule and is comfortable on fast, multi-lane roads. A driver suits a business trip, a family with small children, a night when nobody wants to drive home, or anyone who would rather look out of the window. Plenty of visitors do both: a driver for the airport and the busy days, a hire car for a quiet weekend.
For a short hop across town, take a taxi or use an app. It’s quick and good value, and we’d say so to a friend.
A car with a driver earns its place when more is going on. The price is fixed before the day instead of running on a meter. The driver waits between stops rather than leaving after each drop. Someone meets you inside the terminal with your name on a board, and there is room for the luggage you actually have. You keep the same driver all day. And there is no surcharge for late nights, public holidays or rain, so a 3am arrival is priced like any other.
Our starting prices for a full day of up to 10 hours within Dubai, with driver and fuel, are AED 1,150 for the Mercedes V-Class, AED 1,100 for the luxury SUV, AED 950 for the executive sedan and AED 3,500 for the Rolls-Royce. Hourly bookings start from four hours within Dubai, and the hourly rate is written on your quote.
One-way journeys are priced per trip for the whole car. Our published sedan prices start from AED 120 one way to Sharjah Airport and from AED 300 one way to Abu Dhabi Airport. Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah also start from AED 300, Al Ain from AED 350 and Hatta from AED 450.
When you compare quotes, check how many hours a “day” includes and whether fuel, tolls and parking are in it. Check VAT too. Ours covers up to 10 hours, the driver and fuel, and your written quote confirms the exact price.
Your own price moves with the hours, any journey outside Dubai, waiting beyond the allowance, and the number of days and cars. Tolls and parking for your route are listed on the quote.
Each of these uses our starting prices and is an example only. Your price depends on the date, route and hours, and it’s confirmed in writing before you book.
Example 1: two days of meetings. A visiting director needs a car from 8am to 6pm on two days in a row, moving between DIFC, Business Bay and Dubai Media City. An executive sedan for two full days starts from AED 1,900.
Example 2: a family day out. Five people, two of them small children, want the Dubai Frame, the Dubai Mall and an hour on the beach. A luxury SUV with two child seats fitted (free) starts from AED 1,100 for the day.
Example 3: a flight from Abu Dhabi. A couple staying in Dubai Marina are flying home from Zayed International. An executive sedan one way starts from AED 300 for the whole car.
Example 4: an exhibition week. Seven colleagues need a V-Class every day for a four-day trade show. At AED 1,150 per day, the four days start from AED 4,600, each day listed on one quote.
Example 5: an anniversary dinner. A Rolls-Royce collects a couple at 7pm for dinner and a slow drive past the fountains. It’s booked by the hour, from four hours, at the rate written on the quote.
Example 6: a regular routine. A new resident needs a car and driver every weekday morning for a month while their licence is sorted out. We quote that schedule as a whole, on request.
Visitors are the obvious ones, especially people who would rather not learn fast, unfamiliar roads on day one, or who want someone waiting at arrivals after a long flight.
Business travellers book us for days of back-to-back meetings, so they arrive composed and can work in the back between stops. Our page on DIFC chauffeur service shows how one of those days runs.
Families with small children, prams and a lot of luggage are a big share of our bookings. Then there are residents: people between licences, people who have been told not to drive for a few weeks after an operation, people hosting parents who need lifts to appointments. Assistants and hosts book for someone else all the time; the guest’s name goes on the board and the confirmation comes to you. Companies with regular visitors can open a corporate account with one invoice a month.
A car and driver is often the easiest way to see the rest of the country. Abu Dhabi city is around 1 hour 30 minutes from central Dubai outside the rush hours. Sharjah can be 30 minutes off-peak and an hour or more at peak times. Al Ain, Hatta, Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah are around 1 hour 15 minutes to 2 hours away.
Book one way, return with the driver waiting, or two one-way trips on different days. The most popular choice is the Grand Mosque day trip, followed by the mountains at Hatta. Intercity journeys are quoted separately from the Dubai day rate, with Darb and Salik tolls and the waiting allowance listed on the quote. Trips into Oman need separate arrangements, so ask first.
Most problems with a car and driver start at the booking, not on the road. These are the ones we see most often, and they are all easy to avoid.
Booking a car for the passengers and forgetting the bags. Four adults fit in a sedan. Four adults with four large suitcases do not, and the driver can’t fix that at the kerb. Count the cases.
Booking hourly when you need one journey. If you are going from the hotel to a wedding venue and staying there all evening, a one-way transfer each way is usually cheaper than eight hours of waiting.
Leaving out the entrance. “The Dubai Mall” has several entrances and a long walk between some of them. Give us the entrance, the gate or the tower name and the driver will be at the right one.
Assuming a Dubai day rate covers Abu Dhabi. It doesn’t. A day that leaves Dubai is quoted as an intercity day, so tell us at the start rather than on the way.
Not mentioning children. Child seats are free, but they have to be in the car before pick-up. Tell us each child’s age.
Waiting too long to book a Rolls-Royce in wedding season. Cars are usually fine at 24 hours’ notice. A particular Rolls-Royce on a Saturday in February is not.
Four details decide which car turns up, so mention them when you book.
Children. UAE law requires young children to travel in a suitable child seat, and children under ten, or shorter than 145 cm, can’t sit in the front. Child seats are free on request in our cars, SUVs and vans. Tell us each child’s age.
Luggage. List the big cases, golf bags, prams and boxes. If the bags won’t fit with the passengers, we’ll suggest a bigger car or add a second one on the same quote. That is cheaper than finding out at the kerb.
Mobility. Drivers help with doors, steps and bags. The V-Class, with its sliding doors, is usually the easiest car to get into, and folding wheelchairs go in the luggage space.
Language. All our drivers speak English, and many speak other languages. Ask if you need a particular one and we will confirm in writing whether we can assign a driver who speaks it.
For cars, 24 hours’ notice is usually enough. For a Rolls-Royce on a busy date, a wedding or several cars at once, book as early as you can. You can also send the details on WhatsApp to +971 54 126 1681.
We collect from any address in Dubai. That includes hotels in Downtown, Dubai Marina, JBR and Palm Jumeirah, offices in DIFC, Business Bay and Al Quoz, and villas in Dubai Hills, Emirates Hills, Arabian Ranches and Jumeirah. Homes in Deira, Bur Dubai and Al Barsha too, and DXB, DWC and Expo City. We also meet arrivals at Sharjah Airport and at Zayed International in Abu Dhabi.

Yes. Send the days and hours you need, the car and the usual routes, and we quote the schedule as a whole. Monthly arrangements are priced on request because no two schedules are the same.
Yes, that’s exactly what a full-day booking is: up to 10 hours with the same car and driver, who waits between stops. The order of the day is yours, and extra time is charged at the hourly rate on your quote.
No licence, because you aren’t driving. There’s no rental desk and no self-drive deposit. Nothing is charged until you confirm the written quote, and payment details arrive with your confirmation.
Per day, usually yes. A small self-drive car costs less to hire. Add fuel, tolls, parking, a separate airport transfer and the hours you spend driving, though, and the gap shrinks. For business days and families, most people find it worth the difference.
The luxury SUV. Three rows of seats, room for five medium suitcases and space for child seats, which are free on request. For seven people, or five with a lot of luggage, choose the Mercedes V-Class.
Yes. We drive to Abu Dhabi and Sharjah every day and to the other emirates on request, one way, return or with the driver waiting. Intercity trips are quoted separately, with tolls and the waiting allowance listed on the quote.
For a car, 24 hours’ notice is usually enough. At shorter notice, message us on WhatsApp with the details. Book earlier for a Rolls-Royce, a wedding, several cars at once or anything on a busy date between October and April.
Yes. Book in your own name and add the guest’s name, phone number and any flight details. Their name goes on the board, the driver is briefed with your instructions, and the confirmation comes to you.
