April youth football, moved as one squad.

Two youth football tournaments are listed for Dubai in April 2027: the Mina Cup from 1 to 5 April, and Youth Cup Dubai from 3 to 11 April. If you coach a club or academy side from the UK, Europe, Australia, Japan or the USA, you need dates, deadlines and a plan for moving a squad between airport, hotel and pitches. Here is what each organiser publishes, what is still missing, and how a booked vehicle fits.

What the Mina Cup says

The Mina Cup’s own site lists the 2027 tournament for 1 to 5 April 2027, for international academies, with boys’ age groups from U12 to U16. U12 plays nine-a-side and U13 to U16 play eleven-a-side. Teams play in a group stage, then knockout rounds. One listing, the Visit Dubai calendar, shows 3 to 5 April instead. The dates differ, so we use the organiser’s and ask you to confirm with it.

International clubs and academies register interest and are reviewed. UAE and GCC academies enter through qualifiers. The organiser’s FAQ says the venue is planned for JA Sports Centre, also called JA Sports and Shooting Club, with final details confirmed closer to the event. It says parents and supporters are welcome, with spectator details later. On airport transfers, the FAQ says options may be available depending on the team package. We are not the organiser’s transport provider.

What Youth Cup Dubai says

Youth Cup Dubai is listed for 3 to 11 April 2027, organised by Royal FC with the Dubai Sports Council. It takes clubs, academies and schools in six age groups, U8 to U18. The participation page gives the calendar: registration opens on 1 October 2026 and closes on 28 February 2027; the player and staff list is due on 7 March; the match schedule is announced on 10 March; teams arrive and meet on 3 April; the opening ceremony is on 4 April; finals and the closing ceremony are on 10 April; and teams depart on 11 April.

The organiser’s travel pages have sections on hotels, flights and arrival, visas, transport and transfers, and families and supporters. Its packages page lists transfers to and from the airport and to and from training facilities against its hotel packages, and the prices had not loaded when we looked. So a team must read its own package first, because it may already include some transport. What each package covers is for the organiser to say.

How far the pitches are

For the Mina Cup, we model the drive to the Jebel Ali Shooting Club area, which stands in for the JA Sports venue. It is a proxy, not the organiser’s gate. Our figures come from OpenStreetMap routing with no traffic, so they are approximate, and a match-day morning will add time.

What is not published

When we checked on 31 October 2026, we found no Youth Cup Dubai pitch venue, no final Mina Cup venue, and no statement on whether the two events share a site. We also found no organiser coach drop-off, parking or shuttle plan for either tournament. The Mina Cup’s experience page says teams in the 2026 edition stayed at one hotel inside Dubai Parks and Resorts. That is last year, and we found no 2027 hotel statement.

The Mina Cup site says a leisure day for international teams includes Dubai Mall, Burj Khalifa and Motiongate. See our Dubai Parks and Resorts guide for that part of the city. We agree a drop-off and a collection point with you once an organiser publishes them, and we cannot promise a stop at a pitch gate.

Planning the squad day

Match schedules come late. Youth Cup Dubai says its schedule is announced on 10 March 2027, so the vehicle plan is the last thing to fix. Start with the dates that are firm: arrival on 3 April, finals on 10 April and departures on 11 April for Youth Cup Dubai. Our big group arrival at DXB guide covers a squad landing together.

For an example, a squad of 20 players and 6 staff staying in Dubai Marina, with a Mina Cup match at 09:00 at the planned venue. At about 26 minutes modelled, plus the warm-up, the vehicle might leave about an hour before kick-off. Your hotel, squad size and the schedule will change the sum. Easter Sunday is 28 March 2027, and the UAE spring break is reported as 5 to 11 April, so see peak season in Dubai before you pick flights.

Our headcount and seating plan guide shows how to count a party, and the sports team and tournament transport guide covers the wider picture.

How a booked vehicle fits

  1. Send the plan. Dates, hotel area, squad size, kit and the matches or ceremonies you must make.
  2. Ask for a fixed written quote. Nothing is charged until you confirm.
  3. Read the pick-up and drop-off arrangement. The quote states it, and we update it when the organiser publishes its notices.
  4. Agree the return time. We plan the margin and tell you what is not yet published.
  5. Tell us if plans change. We adjust where we can, and cannot promise to beat traffic.
