Event guide

A four-day art fair, afternoon to evening.

World Art Dubai runs from Thursday 19 to Sunday 22 November 2026 at the Dubai World Trade Centre, and it opens at 13:00 and closes at 21:00. That suits a gallery party, an art-school group or a collector tour, because the day starts late and the return run is after dark. This page gives you the organiser’s own travel notes, our modelled drive times, what is not published, and how one private vehicle fits.

What the organiser says

The organiser’s plan-your-visit page lists World Art Dubai for Thursday 19 to Sunday 22 November 2026, from 13:00 to 21:00 each day, at the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC), in Za’abeel Halls 2 and 3. The organiser describes a fair with more than 10,000 artworks from galleries and solo artists from more than 65 countries, with free workshops and live art. We cannot check those figures.

The Dubai Media Office also lists the fair in its release of 29 October 2026 about the 20 events and exhibitions planned at DWTC in November. The two pages give different counts of galleries and artists, so we do not quote either count. We are not the organiser’s transport provider, and we do not sell tickets.

Check the organiser’s notices before you book transport. If the dates change, we adjust a quote to match.

Getting there, in the organiser’s words

The organiser lists three public ways in. The Dubai Metro Red Line, World Trade Centre station, serves the exhibition centre, and it names three Metro park-and-ride stations (Rashidiya, Nakheel Harbour and Towers, and Etisalat). Metered taxis wait at the Taxi Hub and can be booked by phone. For drivers, it lists paid parking at Sheikh Rashid Tower (very limited), the Exhibition Street multi-storey, Arena Plaza and Al Mustaqbal Street, and it suggests arriving early.

One warning. The same page also carries text about free parking and shuttle buses at the Dubai Exhibition Centre, which is the Expo City venue and not DWTC. It also still shows an April block with different dates. It looks as if some of the page was copied from another show, so we use only the DWTC lines and ignore the rest. Check the organiser’s site again close to your date.

For one person, the Metro is simple. For ten or more people with bags, a late finish and a hotel in Dubai Marina, the sums change.

The numbers: the organiser’s taxi times and our model

The organiser publishes taxi times to the venue. Our figures are modelled: OpenStreetMap routing, free-flow, no traffic, no stops, measured to a point at DWTC. They are approximate, and an evening on Sheikh Zayed Road will take longer.

FromOrganiser’s taxi estimateOur model, no traffic
Downtown Dubai15 to 20 minutes5.3 km, about 7 minutes
Dubai Airport (DXB)15 to 20 minutes18.9 km, about 31 minutes (airport point)
DeiraNot given8.1 km, about 11 minutes
JBRNot given25.3 km, about 23 minutes
Dubai Marina25 to 35 minutes27.6 km, about 27 minutes
Palm JumeirahNot given28.2 km, about 28 minutes
Al Maktoum Airport (DWC)45 to 55 minutes53.0 km, about 53 minutes

The airport row is the one that does not agree: our model gives longer than the organiser. We do not try to reconcile them. For planning, use the longer figure. Our hotel drive times guide covers other areas.

What is not published

We found no group entry rules, no bag rules, no last-entry time and no coach or minibus drop-off point for World Art Dubai. We also found nothing on whether a pre-booked vehicle may use the Taxi Hub. We agree a drop-off point and a collection point with you once the organiser or the venue publishes them, and we cannot promise a stop at any entrance.

The week around the fair

The fair sits between other DWTC dates. The World Police Summit at DWTC ends on 18 November, the day before the fair opens, and Big 5 Global starts on Monday 23 November, the day after it closes. A group that stays the whole week can see three different crowds at one venue. Our Big 5 Global transport guide shows how that show works, and the DWTC event transport page explains the venue’s Metro, parking and taxi points across the year.

SailGP is at Port Rashid on Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 November, and Dubai Run is on the Sunday. See our SailGP weekend guide and Dubai Run guide.

There is also a forward note. DWTC’s own events list shows World Art Dubai 2027 for 9 to 12 June 2027, but the organiser’s page shows nothing about June. Two sources disagree, so check the organiser before you plan anything for 2027.

Planning the day: an example

The fair opens at 13:00 and closes at 21:00, so the day is the reverse of a trade show. This is an example only, and your hotel, group size and diary will change the sum. A party of twelve staying in Dubai Marina might leave the hotel at 12:00. The modelled drive is about 27 minutes, so they would arrive near 12:30 with a margin before the 13:00 opening.

The return is the harder half. The doors close at 21:00, and a group of twelve will not leave in one second. Allow 30 minutes to gather, collect coats and board. A 21:30 departure from the halls, plus the modelled 27 minutes, puts the group at the hotel after 22:00, and more if the road is slow. Agree the exact collection time with the group leader in writing, and tell us if some people want to leave earlier.

If your party splits after the fair, say so when you ask for a quote. Two return points need two vehicles or two stops.

Choosing the vehicle

Art groups often carry portfolios, tubes and flat bags as well as suitcases. Tell us the size of anything long or flat. Our guide figures:

We supply the vehicle and a driver. A licensed guide can be arranged for a fee: ask when you request a quote. Tour operators booking many vehicles should read our hotel group transfers guide.

How a booked vehicle fits

  1. Send the plan. Dates, hotel area, party size, any large or flat items and the time you want to be back.
  2. Ask for a fixed written quote. Nothing is charged until you confirm.
  3. Read the meeting and drop-off arrangement. The quote states it, and we update it when the organiser publishes its notices.
  4. Agree the return time. We plan the margin and tell you what is not yet published.
  5. Tell us if plans change. We adjust where we can, and cannot promise to beat queues or traffic.

Frequently asked.

Quick answers for this trip.

When is World Art Dubai in 2026?

The organiser lists Thursday 19 to Sunday 22 November 2026, 13:00 to 21:00 each day, at the Dubai World Trade Centre, Za’abeel Halls 2 and 3. Check the organiser’s notices before you book transport.

Which Metro station serves the fair?

The organiser says the Red Line, World Trade Centre station, serves the exhibition centre. Check the RTA timetable for the hours on your day, since the fair finishes at 21:00.

How long is the taxi from the airport?

The organiser gives 15 to 20 minutes from Dubai Airport. Our model, with no traffic, gives about 31 minutes to our airport point. We suggest planning on the longer figure.

Where will the coach stop?

No coach drop-off point had been published when we checked on 31 October 2026. We agree a drop-off and a collection point with you once one is published, and we cannot promise a stop at the entrance.

Do you sell tickets for the fair?

No. Tickets are the organiser’s. We supply a vehicle and a driver only, and we are not the organiser’s transport provider.

Can you meet us at the airport and take us to the fair?

Yes, if you tell us the flight, the date and the venue. Your written quote states the meeting arrangement for the airport, so you know it before you fly. See our Dubai airport transfer page.
