Gulfood delegations, five days, one plan.
Buyer groups from Japan, the USA, Europe, the UK and Australia arrive with a schedule, a list of suppliers and a handful of colleagues who must not get lost. The Metro suits one person. A delegation needs a head count, a timetable and a second plan for the venue it did not expect.

What the organiser sets and what you choose
Gulfood 2027 runs from Monday 15 to Friday 19 March 2027 at two sites: Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) on Sheikh Zayed Road, and the Dubai Exhibition Centre (DEC) at Expo City Dubai. The organiser lists 10:00 to 18:00 on the first four days and 10:00 to 17:00 on Friday 19 March. It names India as country partner for 2027. We have found no 2027 list of national pavilions, so ask your own trade body or the organiser where your national area is.
Visitors register on the organiser’s own site, gulfood.com. We sell no tickets, passes or badges, and we are not the organiser’s transport provider. The organiser warns about fake visitor and exhibitor lists. We hold none.
Reading the organiser’s floor plan by eye, DWTC carries beverages, fresh produce, power brands, dairy, seafood, meat and poultry, and logistics, while DEC carries World Food, the Startup Zone, grocery trade, fats and oils, and rice, pulses and grains. Check that on gulfood.com yourself. The choice of venue each day is then yours, and it drives every other decision on this page.

Look at this before you spend a minute on private vehicles. The Red Line serves both venues, with World Trade Centre Station at DWTC and Expo 2020 Station at Expo City. The Expo City visitor FAQ gives trains every 5 to 7 minutes off peak and every 3 to 4 minutes at peak. Taxis and ride-hailing have set drop-off areas at both venues.
In 2026 the organiser ran free shuttle buses between the venues. For 2027 the organiser publishes its transport arrangements closer to the event, so check gulfood.com before you plan around a shuttle. A delegation that is happy to ride the Metro in a line can do so. What it costs you is time at the ticket gates and a head count at every change.
Why a delegation plans differently
A single buyer decides at breakfast where to go. A delegation of eight to forty has to agree it the night before, because a vehicle, a driver and a pick-up time all depend on it. The groups we see struggle in three places.
- The group splits across two venues and nobody has a plan for the second.
- A leader’s fixed meeting hour meets the morning rush and a coach that is not where it should be.
- A supplier dinner runs past the last train, and the group is stuck waiting for taxis in ones and twos.
A private plan fixes those with a driver who has the schedule and the leader’s mobile number. It does not make the show less busy. It makes the day predictable for the people you are responsible for.
The five-day shape
| Day | Date | Organiser hours | What the plan usually holds |
|---|---|---|---|
| Before | Sunday 14 March or earlier | Not open | Airport meet, hotel check-in, briefing for the group |
| Monday | 15 March | 10:00 to 18:00 | First venue run, supplier dinner |
| Tuesday to Thursday | 16 to 18 March | 10:00 to 18:00 | Daily runs to the venue for each sector, one or two dinners |
| Friday | 19 March | 10:00 to 17:00 | Shorter day, earlier return, airport run that evening or the next day |
The table is a frame, not a promise about your flights, which we do not know. Gulfood opens days after the expected Eid al-Fitr holiday on about 9 or 10 March, as reported by Gulf News citing the Emirates Astronomical Society, so the city may be busy with returning residents and visitors. That date is an expectation and depends on moon sighting. Ask for vehicles early, and see our peak season guide.
The airport meet
Most delegations land at Dubai International (DXB). The organiser and venue figures put DXB at about 15 to 30 minutes from DWTC and about 35 to 50 minutes from Expo City by taxi, longer on show days. Al Maktoum International (DWC) has limited commercial flights, so check your airline. Our driver meets the group in arrivals with a name board and tracks the flight.
Groups of ten or more landing together should read big group arrival at DXB, and the airport transfer page and airport chauffeur page cover the basics. Visitors from Japan may prefer our Japanese-language airport group page, and German-speaking groups our German-language page. We do not provide immigration fast-track, which is a separate airport service.
Daily venue runs
Pick the venue per day from the floor plan, then book the vehicle for that venue. The pattern is simple: one pick-up at the hotel at a time agreed the evening before, a head count at the door, one drop-off point, one agreed return time. For the Friday, the organiser closes an hour earlier, so move the return forward.
Choose the vehicle by headcount, with a few seats spare for the late arrival. A small buying team fits the Mercedes V-Class. A department of ten to fifteen fits a van or the Mercedes Sprinter. A group of 22 to 30 suits the 30-seater mini coach, and a full trade mission the 50-seater coach. Our coach rental page explains how that works.
We do not know whether private coaches, minibuses or chauffeur cars may use the organiser’s drop-off areas, coach waiting areas or vehicle permits, because none of this is published for 2027. We agree the drop-off point with you and check the organiser’s access plan before the day. Never assume a bay. The venue also warns of bag checks or screening, so build a few minutes into the first morning.
When part of the group goes to DWTC and part to Expo City, split by venue, not by country or company. Two vehicles, two drivers and one shared timetable. DWTC to DEC is about 40 km, which our model puts at 36 to 40 minutes before show traffic, so a leader who wants to visit both has a long middle of the day.
Evening dinner transfers
We could not find a 2027 evening programme from the organiser, so we plan around your own diary: supplier dinners, importer receptions, hotel meetings. The driver is told the restaurant or hotel name, the time and a latest pick-up. Dubai Metro’s last train is on the RTA timetable, and a dinner can run past it, so a group that eats late is better off with one booking than with a search for taxis.
For a week of meetings, the hourly chauffeur service keeps a car with a senior buyer across several stops, and the corporate chauffeur page covers a named account with invoices. Tour operators and agents who book on behalf of a client group can read hotel group transfers for tour operators.
Asking for a quote
Send the dates, the group size, the hotel, your flight times, the venue for each day and a mobile number for the leader through the booking page. We reply with a fixed written quote listing the vehicle, the hours and each day’s route before you accept. If the organiser changes its shuttle or drop-off plan before March, gulfood.com is the current notice.
Entry rules depend on your passport. Check the official UAE government visa page and your own government’s travel advice before you book. We do not give visa advice. For other events and group types, see our event transport page.

Frequently asked.
Quick answers for this trip.
When is Gulfood 2027?
Monday 15 to Friday 19 March 2027, at Dubai World Trade Centre and the Dubai Exhibition Centre at Expo City Dubai. Check gulfood.com for the current hours.
Which venue do my buyers need?
It depends on their food sectors. The organiser publishes the split as a floor plan image on gulfood.com. Decide that first and then book the vehicle for each day.
Can you arrange passes or badges for the group?
No. We sell no tickets, passes or badges. Each visitor registers on the organiser’s site, gulfood.com.
Do you run the organiser’s shuttles?
No. We are a private company and we are not the organiser’s transport provider. In 2026 the organiser ran free shuttles between the venues. Check gulfood.com for 2027.
Can one coach serve both venues in a day?
Yes, if the schedule allows. The road gap is about 40 km, roughly 36 to 40 minutes in a free-flow model. A group split across the two venues is better with two vehicles.
Where will the coach drop us?
At the point the organiser allows for your vehicle type. No rule is published for 2027, so we check its access plan before the day and the driver confirms the spot.
Do you handle dinner transfers?
Yes. Give us the restaurant, the time and a latest pick-up, and we put it on the same written quote as the daily runs.
What does it cost?
Ask for a fixed written quote. It depends on the days, the group size and the route, and we put it in writing before you accept.
