The tower is easy to find and hard to reach on a schedule. This page explains how a group gets there, gets in at its booked time and gets collected afterwards.
Your reference
A Burj Khalifa visit for a group has three separate jobs. Someone has to book the entry tickets for a specific time. Someone has to get the group to the right door at that time. And someone has to collect everyone afterwards, in a district where the roads fill up as soon as the crowds leave.
The tickets are the group's job. We are a transport company with drivers and we do not sell tickets or tours. Your group leader or your tour operator books the viewing slot, and checks the organiser or venue for opening hours, ticket rules and group booking conditions. Our job is the other two: arrival and return.
Prices depend on the date and group size. Get yours in a minute.
Get my priceEntry to the tower is by timed slot. A group that arrives late can lose its slot or be moved, depending on the venue's rules. That is a cost the leader carries, so plan to arrive well before the slot, not at it.
Our advice is to work back from the slot. Allow time to walk from the drop zone to the entrance through the mall, which can take 10 to 20 minutes for a large group. Add a buffer for the drive. For an 18:00 slot, aim for the coach to reach the drop zone by 17:00 at the latest on a normal day, and earlier at weekends and during the busy season.
Downtown Dubai is a mix of private roads, mall access ramps and public streets. Coaches generally use designated drop and pick-up areas near the mall, and may need to wait elsewhere, because a coach cannot stand at a drop-off for long.
The driver knows these areas. When you ask for a quote, tell us the entrance you want and the time. We confirm the drop zone, the waiting place and the pick-up point on the quote, so your leader can pass them to the group on a single card.
The meeting point for the return should be a fixed, easy-to-find spot with a name and a time. Agree it before the group disperses, and make sure everyone has the driver's number.
The fountain show and the evening lights draw large crowds. Roads around the mall are slow before and after, and the return flow in the late evening is the slowest part of the day. If your group is on a tight schedule, plan the pick-up either well before the main rush or after it.
Check the organiser or venue for show times and viewing areas, which change over the year. Public holidays, New Year's Eve and school holidays make Downtown much busier. Our New Year's Eve guide shows what that looks like, and the peak season guide covers the rest of the winter.
| Group | Vehicle | Starting from |
|---|---|---|
| Up to 13 | 13-seater van | AED 900 per day |
| 14 to 16 | Mercedes Sprinter | AED 2,450 per day |
| 17 to 30 | Mini coach | AED 1,100 per day |
| 31 to 50 | 50-seater coach | AED 1,450 per day |
These are starting prices for a full day within Dubai, up to 10 hours with driver and fuel. A Downtown visit is often shorter, and may be quoted by the hour or as a transfer pair. The written quote confirms the exact price for your date, route and hours. See the price page for the basis.
This is an example. A conference group of 52 staying in Dubai Marina has a Burj Khalifa slot at 19:00 and dinner afterwards. One 50-seater and one mini coach is the safe plan, since 52 is over the limit for a single coach. The two vehicles leave the hotel at 17:15, with a margin because evening traffic on the way to Downtown is heavy.
They reach the drop zone at about 18:15. The leader walks the group in, takes the viewing slot, and the coaches go to their waiting area. After the visit and the dinner, the group meets at a named spot at 22:00. The coaches are called when the leader is ready, and reach the pick-up in about 10 minutes.
The two vehicles are quoted together as a pair. If you want to see how event transport is priced, the event transport page sets it out.
Downtown is rarely the only stop. Many groups combine it with an afternoon at the old quarter or a desert evening. See Old Dubai by coach for the heritage side. For a different kind of outing, Atlantis and the Palm is the resort day. The city tour guide shows how the pieces fit in one day.
If your group arrives by air and heads straight to the tower, the big group arrival guide explains how to avoid long waits.
Use the booking page and send the date, the headcount, the hotel pick-ups, the viewing slot and the return time. A fixed written quote follows by email, usually within the hour, with the drop zone and waiting place named. Nothing is charged until you confirm.

At a designated drop zone near the mall. We confirm the exact point and the waiting place on your written quote.
Well before it. Allow 10 to 20 minutes to walk from the drop zone to the entrance, plus a buffer for traffic. Late arrival can cost the group its slot.
Not in the drop zone. The driver moves to a waiting area and returns when called, usually within about 10 to 15 minutes.
Starting prices are for a full day within Dubai, for example AED 1,100 per day for a mini coach. A shorter Downtown visit may be quoted by the hour. The written quote confirms the exact price.
