A 05:30 bike check-in, planned backwards.

The second World Triathlon Women’s Cup in Dubai takes place on Sunday 6 December 2026 at Al Mamzar Beach Park. It is dedicated to women, and the first bike check-in opens at 05:30. For an athlete, or a club or group of friends travelling with one, the useful part is the clock. Here is the organiser’s timetable, where its own pages disagree, and how to plan the early start and the way back.

The event

The organiser’s site lists the World Triathlon Women’s Cup Dubai on Sunday 6 December 2026 at Al Mamzar Beach Park. It is run by the Dubai Sports Council under World Triathlon, with the UAE Triathlon Federation, and it is the second Women’s Cup, dedicated to women. The races are for women aged 18 and over: a Super Sprint with a 400 m swim, a 10 km bike and a 2.5 km run, a Sprint with a 750 m swim, a 20 km bike and a 5 km run, and an Elite race at sprint distance for professionals registered with World Triathlon through their federations. Entry is individual or in teams of up to three.

We are not the organiser’s transport provider and not a partner of the event. If its notices and ours ever differ, follow the organiser. We sell no entries and print no entry fees. This is a different event from the men’s and women’s T100 weekend in November, which has its own page: see Dubai T100 Triathlon at Al Mamzar for the venue background.

Saturday: race pack collection

The organiser’s schedule lists age group race pack collection on Saturday 5 December from 09:00 to 17:00 at the Race Village, and elite course familiarisation from 09:30 to 11:00. A press release carried by the media says race pack collection runs on both days. The schedule page lists Saturday only, so we print Saturday, and we tell you to check with the organiser. Do not plan to collect a pack on race morning.

For a group, that makes Saturday a short trip of its own: from the hotel to Al Mamzar and back, with the athletes and perhaps a supporter or two.

Sunday: the timetable, as published

The race details page shows the Super Sprint at 07:10 and the Sprint at 08:25, five minutes earlier than the schedule page. The organiser has two figures, so we give both and use the earlier one for planning. Check the organiser’s final instructions.

The early check-in is the transport problem

For a Super Sprint athlete, the first bike check-in is at 05:30, which means leaving the hotel while the city is still dark. Work backwards. Allow time to be at the venue before check-in opens, time to queue and rack the bike, and the drive. For a Sprint athlete the window opens at 06:45, so the sum is easier.

Our routing model, built on OpenStreetMap data with no traffic, gives about 17.2 km and about 30 minutes from Dubai Airport to Al Mamzar Beach Park, about 10.0 km and 13 minutes from Deira, about 18.5 km and 21 minutes from Downtown Dubai, about 38.5 km and 36 minutes from JBR, about 40.8 km and 40 minutes from Dubai Marina, and about 41.4 km and 42 minutes from Palm Jumeirah. The roads are quiet before dawn, though nobody has published how the approach will work on race morning. We found no parking, entrance, Metro or road-closure information for this event on 30 October 2026.

Bikes, bags and the vehicle

Our passenger vehicles are not bike carriers, and we publish no bike capacity or box size. If your group travels with bikes, tell us before you book and we say honestly what is possible. We cannot say whether a vehicle may drop bikes at the bike park, because the organiser has not published it.

Athletes also carry transition bags, wetsuits, helmets and shoes. Count the bags with the people. For the return, agree one collection point and one time with the group in writing. The two bike check-out periods mean athletes will finish and leave at different times, so tell us if the group splits.

Choosing the vehicle

Our guide figures:

For how a race morning with road closures works, see our Dubai Run guide, and for team travel see sports team and tournament transport in Dubai.

How a booked vehicle fits

  1. Send the plan. Dates, hotel area, party size, the race you enter and the check-in window.
  2. Ask for a fixed written quote. Nothing is charged until you confirm.
  3. Read the pick-up and drop-off arrangement. The quote states it, and we update it when the organiser publishes its notices.
  4. Agree the return time. We plan the margin and tell you what is not yet published.
  5. Tell us if plans change. We adjust where we can, and cannot promise to beat traffic.
