The two WHX venues sit on opposite sides of the city. Stay in the Marina and Expo City is the nearer one. Stay in Downtown and it flips. Here is the pattern, with approximate times.
Why the hotel area matters for WHX
WHX Dubai 2027 is spread over two venues: the Dubai Exhibition Centre (DEC) at Expo City Dubai, and Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) on Sheikh Zayed Road. They are about 39 km apart by road. That means the hotel district you pick decides which venue is an easy morning and which one needs a longer start.
Dubai Marina and JBR are in the west of the city, closer to Expo City than to the World Trade Centre. Downtown Dubai and Business Bay are the other way round. DWTC is a short hop from Downtown and a long road leg to DEC. Plan around where your meetings are, not just where you sleep.

These figures are our own free-flow model from OpenStreetMap routing. They carry no traffic and no event closures, and one route per pair. Google Maps on the day will differ, and in show week you should allow more. We take the model figure as the upper end of each range.

Metro or vehicle
The organiser says the Dubai Metro Red Line serves both venues. Expo 2020 Station is the stop for DEC, followed by a short signposted walk. World Trade Centre Station connects directly to DWTC. Which Red Line station is nearest your hotel is a question for the RTA journey planner, because we do not list station walks.
For Downtown and Business Bay hotels going to DWTC, the Metro journey is short, and often the best answer for one or two people. We would not suggest a private vehicle for a single delegate on that run. The picture changes when a group carries cases, wears event kit or must arrive at one time. Then one driver and one vehicle remove the juggling.
For Marina, JBR and Palm hotels, the run to either venue is a longer cross-city ride. A shared vehicle for a team of eight or more often works out as one planned departure rather than eight separate rides. What the organiser runs from hotels
The organiser’s hotel programme, run with Atelier by Informa, lists more than 80 Dubai hotels, and partner hotels offer a free daily shuttle to the venue. The list is loaded by script and we could not read it, so we do not name partner hotels. Ask your hotel directly.
On its own pages the organiser names the hotels it calls the most popular near each venue. Near Expo City it names Rove Expo City, Rove at the Park and JW Marriott Marina. Near the World Trade Centre it names Novotel World Trade Centre, Ibis One Central and Voco. That is the organiser’s wording, not ours, and none of them is our partner.
A free shuttle also runs between the two venues on every show day, according to the organiser. Its timetable is not published in what we found, so check the organiser’s venue page for the current plan.
A day in the show week
Opening hours are Monday 25 January from 11:00 to 18:00, Tuesday and Wednesday from 10:00 to 18:00, and Thursday from 10:00 to 17:00. Advantage and Platinum ticket holders can enter an hour earlier. Hours are subject to the organiser’s final notice.
- Monday has a late start, at 11:00, which gives a Marina group a calmer morning.
- Tuesday to Thursday start at 10:00, or 09:00 with early entry. A group in JBR heading to Expo City should plan the departure a good hour ahead, then set the exact time with the driver.
- A two-venue day needs a plan. If you visit DEC in the morning and DWTC in the afternoon, work out the cross-town leg first, because the free shuttle and a private vehicle both take time.

Where a private vehicle fits
We are Dubai Bus Services, a private company. We are not the organiser’s transport provider, and our vehicles are separate from its shuttles and hotel buses.
A vehicle suits a group that wants its own departure time from its own hotel door, with a driver who knows the plan for the week. The 13-seater van and the Mercedes Sprinter fit a team with equipment. The 30-seater mini coach suits a larger delegation. For individual senior delegates, the corporate chauffeur service and the Mercedes V-Class are the closer match.
We do not assume that a coach or minibus may use a given drop-off at either venue. We confirm the point against the organiser’s access plan before the day. The late return
Evenings can run past the end of the show day. Check the RTA timetable for the Red Line hours on your date: as we read it, Monday to Thursday service runs until midnight, but we found nothing on special hours for WHX week. Careem and Uber operate around the clock at both venues, according to the organiser.
If your group wants to leave together at a fixed time, say 20:00 from one venue to a Marina hotel, the vehicle waits on your clock. Tell us the finish time and any dinner stop in your request. The written quote shows the waiting hours.
Asking for a quote
Send the hotel name, the number of people, which venue on which day, and the finish times. We reply with a fixed written quote before you accept, through the booking page. Entry rules depend on your passport, so check the official UAE government visa page. Late January is peak season, so ask early.

Which WHX venue is nearer the Marina?
Expo City. Our model puts Dubai Marina at about 20 km and 15 to 20 minutes from the Dubai Exhibition Centre, and about 25 km and 20 to 25 minutes from the World Trade Centre. Approximate, with no traffic.
Which venue is nearer Downtown Dubai?
The World Trade Centre, at about 5 km and 5 to 10 minutes by our model. Expo City is about 35 km away.
Do I need a vehicle from a Downtown hotel?
Not for one person. The Red Line and a short taxi cover that run well. A vehicle starts to help when a group travels together with cases or kit.
Does my hotel have a WHX shuttle?
Some do. The organiser says partner hotels in its programme offer a free daily shuttle to the venue. Ask your hotel directly, because we could not read the partner list.
Can I move between the two venues in one day?
Yes. A free shuttle runs between them on show days, according to the organiser, and the Red Line links the two stations. By road it is about 39 km.
Are you the transport provider for WHX?
No. We are a private company, not appointed by the organiser or the venues.
What about a late return?
Check the RTA timetable and plan a back-up. Careem and Uber run around the clock at both venues, per the organiser. For a group, we can hold a vehicle to your finish time.
How much does a vehicle cost?
