An older group is not slower because it is less capable. It simply likes a plan with room in it: time to board, somewhere to sit and a cool seat to come back to.

A day that works for a tour group of 30-year-olds will tire a group of 70-year-olds by mid-afternoon. We suggest planning senior days around five to seven hours of actual touring, with a long lunch in the middle. Because our full-day rate covers up to 10 hours, you pay for the day, but you do not have to use all of it.
Plan the tiring parts for the morning, when the temperature is lower, and the gentle parts for the afternoon. Between May and September, the outdoor heat is intense by late morning, so most of the day belongs indoors.
Prices depend on the date and group size. Get yours in a minute.
Get my priceThis is the main practical difference. A coach has a few steps up. A mini coach has a lower entry than a full-size one, which is one reason we often recommend the mini coach for seniors. The 50-seater is comfortable once seated, with more space under the floor for bags, but it asks more of the traveller at the door.
Allow 15 to 20 minutes to board a full group the first time. The driver helps at the door, the group leader counts, and nobody is hurried. Later boardings go faster.
For anyone who finds even a small step difficult, we can run a Mercedes V-Class beside the coach on the same quote. It has a sliding door and a smaller step than a coach.
On a day out, plan a stop about every 60 to 90 minutes where there is shade, a seat and a bathroom. Shopping malls and large hotels are the easiest places and the driver knows where the coach can park. A stop that takes 15 minutes is normal. Add 10 minutes for the group to return.
Water matters. Ask us about bottled water when you request the quote, and many groups bring their own. Medication is the traveller’s own responsibility, and the group leader should know who needs what and when.
From about May to September, outside temperatures in Dubai are very high. Older travellers feel it faster. Keep walking to a minimum in the middle of the day, have the driver bring the coach as close to the entrance as parking rules allow, and keep the cabin cool. In the cooler months, November to March, the climate is much kinder and most groups come then.
This is an example only. A group of 28 from a retirement club overseas takes a city day. The coach collects them at 09:30 from a hotel. A morning visit takes two hours, then a long lunch, a short afternoon stop and back at the hotel by about 16:00. That is six and a half hours of the 10 hours in the day rate.
At the starting rate for a mini coach, AED 1,100 per day, with driver and fuel. The written quote confirms the exact price for your date and route. The 28 passengers have room for hand luggage and walking aids.
Folding wheelchairs and walkers go in the hold or at the back of the cabin. Tell us the number and type when you ask for a quote. Fixed electric scooters and large power chairs may not fit a standard coach, so ask first. We will tell you plainly if a vehicle cannot carry something rather than leave you to find out at the hotel door.
Long-haul flights arrive tired. Seniors in particular benefit from a driver in the hall with a name board and no queue. See the DXB arrivals pickup guide to know how this works. Schedule nothing after landing except the hotel. Our big group arrival guide gives the timing for larger parties.
The group leader knows the travellers. The driver knows the roads. Between them, the day works. Please give us the name of one coordinator, a list of who needs help, and a mobile number to reach on the day. We will send you the driver’s details before the day.
Use the booking page and mention ages, mobility needs and the pace you want. The price page lists starting rates. If you want a quiet day trip for the family rather than a tour group, see the family reunion page. We provide transport only. For visas, use the official ICP and GDRFA sites, and for health questions speak to a doctor before travel.
