This page is about school bus rental in Dubai for trips. A class to a museum, a year group to Abu Dhabi, the under-13s to an away fixture, a geography field day in Hatta. We provide chartered mini coaches and 50-seat coaches with a professional driver, plus vans and Sprinters for small squads. Every seat has a belt. Every vehicle is air-conditioned, maintained to the manufacturer’s schedule and cleaned before every job.
One thing to be clear about. Daily home-to-school bus routes are a separate, regulated service in Dubai, with their own rules on vehicles, drivers and supervision set by the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA). Those rules change from time to time, and the RTA is the place to confirm them. Our coaches aren’t yellow school buses, and this page isn’t about the daily school run. If you’re planning a trip, read on.
Prices depend on the date and group size. Get yours in a minute.
Get my priceCount everyone who will be on the bus: pupils, teachers, assistants, the school nurse, parent volunteers. The adults are often what pushes a trip into the next size of vehicle.
| Trip | Head count | Vehicle |
|---|---|---|
| A sports squad or a small club | Up to 13 | 13-seater van |
| A squad with coaches and kit, or a small class | 14 to 16 | Mercedes Sprinter |
| One class with its staff | 17 to 30 | 30-seater mini coach |
| Two classes, or a small year group | 31 to 50 | 50-seater coach |
| A full year group | Over 50 | Several coaches, one per class or pair of classes |
Don’t book a vehicle with no spare seat. A class of 26 with four adults is exactly 30, and the morning a parent volunteer turns up at the gate, you have a problem. We would rather quote the next size up than a tight fit. On a school trip that matters more than usual, because it’s one child per seat, every time.
For big year groups, keep each class on its own coach with its own adults. Head counts stay simple, and if one coach is held up in traffic the others aren’t.
UAE law requires every passenger to wear a seat belt, front and rear, and every seat in our vehicles has one. The driver asks everyone to buckle up before setting off. Ask teachers to check belts row by row too. Children forget, especially after a stop.
Seat the adults through the bus rather than all at the front, so someone can see every row. Keep bags out of the aisle. On the 50-seater they go in the holds under the floor, and on the mini coach in the overhead and rear space.
Younger pupils first. Child seats are free on request in our cars, SUVs and vans. For mini coaches and coaches, tell us the age of the youngest children when you book and we’ll confirm in writing what we can arrange. Pupils with mobility needs are the same: folding wheelchairs travel in the luggage space, and we confirm the details before the day.
Many schools need transport details for the trip approval file. Tell us what your form asks for when you book, and we’ll say in writing what we can supply and by when.
Times below are rough, from central Dubai outside the rush hours. Add a margin for the morning school run.
| Destination | Rough drive | Worth knowing |
|---|---|---|
| Al Shindagha Museum and Al Fahidi, Bur Dubai | Under 30 minutes | Narrow, busy streets, so agree the drop-off point first |
| Dubai Safari Park, Al Warqa’a | Around 25 to 35 minutes | Mostly outdoors, best before midday |
| Expo City Dubai | Around 35 to 50 minutes | Check the event access plan for drop-off points |
| Sharjah’s museums | Around 30 minutes off-peak, an hour or more at rush hour | Leave after the morning peak |
| Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque and Louvre Abu Dhabi | Around 1 hour 20 minutes | A dress code applies at the mosque |
| Al Ain: zoo, oasis and Jebel Hafeet | Around 1 hour 30 minutes | A full day, best in the cooler months |
| Hatta | Around 1 hour 15 minutes to 1 hour 40 minutes | Mountain road, so plan a comfort stop |
Our drivers know the roads and the drop-off points, but they are drivers, not licensed guides. Book a guide or a museum educator separately if you want one. For trips further out, see the Grand Mosque day trip, Dubai to Al Ain and Dubai to Hatta pages.
The morning school run is the biggest risk to a punctual start. The roads around schools are at their worst first thing, and a coach stuck in that queue loses the time you saved by leaving early. Leaving after the peak usually costs less than it looks. On the way back, aim to reach the gate before the afternoon pick-up queue builds.
Then there’s the heat. From October to April most outdoor trips work well. From May to September, put the outdoor part of the day early in the morning and keep the middle of the day for indoor venues. The bus is cooled before the group boards and kept cool between stops, so it’s the place to wait, not the pavement.
On full-day trips the driver waits at or near the venue. Ask the venue where coaches drop off and where they can wait, because popular sites often have several schools arriving on the same weekday morning.
Fixtures are where the 13-seater van and the mini coach earn their keep. A squad with kit fits a van. A full team with coaches and substitutes fits the mini coach, bags in the overhead and rear space. If you have a season of fixtures, send all the dates together. You’ll get one written quote listing every journey, and changes and cancellations follow the terms on your written quote.
For residential trips (a few nights in Hatta, Ras Al Khaimah or Abu Dhabi), the simplest plan is a drop-off on the first day and a collection on the last. If you want day trips during the stay, we can quote a vehicle for those days too. Days outside Dubai are quoted as intercity days; our Ras Al Khaimah transfer page has the route and the timings.
Universities, summer camps and parent associations book in exactly the same way.
Our starting prices are for a full day of up to 10 hours within Dubai with driver and fuel: from AED 900 per day for the 13-seater van, from AED 1,100 per day for the 30-seater mini coach, from AED 1,450 per day for the 50-seater coach and from AED 2,450 per day for the Mercedes Sprinter. Shorter trips can be booked by the hour, from four hours within Dubai. Salik tolls and parking are listed on the quote, and we don’t add surcharges for public holidays. Our bus rental price guide explains what each price includes.
Example: a Year 5 museum morning, 28 people. Twenty-four pupils and four adults visit Al Shindagha Museum, leaving at 9:30 and back by 1pm. The 30-seater mini coach fits them with two seats spare, from AED 1,100 per day. For a morning like this we’d also price four hours by the hour and send you the lower figure.
Example: two Year 8 classes to Expo City, 51 people. Forty-six pupils, four teachers and a parent volunteer. One 50-seater is a seat short. Two mini coaches, one per class, start from AED 2,200 per day together and keep each class with its own adults.
Example: an under-13 football squad, 18 people. Sixteen players and two coaches to an away fixture. The Sprinter seats sixteen, so it has to be the mini coach, from AED 1,100 per day, with the kit bags at the back.
Example: a Grade 10 geography trip to Hatta, 44 people. Forty pupils and four staff fit one 50-seater. Hatta is part of Dubai, but at around 130 km away it is quoted as an intercity day, so the Dubai starting price doesn’t apply.

No. We provide chartered mini coaches, coaches, vans and Sprinters for trips. Daily home-to-school routes in Dubai use dedicated school buses run under the RTA’s school transport rules, so for the daily school run, ask your school’s transport office.
Fees for the daily school bus are set by each school and its transport provider, so your school is the place to ask. Our prices cover chartered trips only, starting from AED 1,100 per day for a 30-seater mini coach.
Fifty passengers in total, adults included. The driver isn’t counted. If your pupils and staff add up to exactly fifty, think about a second vehicle, because there’s no seat for a late addition.
