The east coast is a different sea, a different light and a longer day. This page explains what a Fujairah trip asks of the group and of the driver.
Your reference
Fujairah sits on the Gulf of Oman, on the other side of the Hajar mountains. Groups come for the change: calmer beaches, rocky headlands, clear water in places and the feeling of leaving the city entirely. The price of that change is time. A Fujairah day is one of the longest ordinary day trips from Dubai.
Plan around about 1.5 to 2 hours each way, depending on where you start and on traffic leaving Dubai. That is 3 to 4 hours on the road before you count any stops. Be honest about it with the group, especially with children and older guests, and make sure the stops are worth the miles.
Prices depend on the date and group size. Get yours in a minute.
Get my priceThe road crosses the mountains on the way from Dubai towards the coast. It is a modern road, with gradients and bends in places, and coaches use it every day. The views are part of the trip, so sit the group on the side that matters on the way out, or simply stop at a viewpoint if the driver says it is safe.
In bad weather, which in the UAE means heavy rain and the occasional flood in the wadis, mountain routes can be closed or slow. The driver follows official traffic information and the group leader should have a flexible plan. If a rain warning is issued for your date, we talk to you before the day and suggest an alternative.
Public beaches along the east coast are simple, with limited facilities. Some are better for a walk than for a swim. Private resort beaches may accept day guests, but they set the price and the rules. Ask the venue about group entry, towels, changing rooms and any dress rules before you send the invitation.
Check the organiser or venue for opening hours and entry rules on your date. We provide the coach and the driver. We do not sell tickets or beach passes.
Sun is strong even in winter. Hats, sunscreen and water matter, and so does a plan for shade if the group includes older relatives.
A professional driver may only drive for a limited number of hours in a day, with breaks. A Fujairah day can come close to those limits if it includes a late return. That is why we ask about the finish time before we quote. If the group wants to stay on the coast until sunset, the driving hours add up and the plan may need a second driver or an overnight stay.
We would rather say so up front than leave a driver at the end of a shift with the group still on the beach. The written quote states the hours it covers. If anything runs over, the extra waiting is listed as an hourly figure, so you know the cost before you agree.
This is an example for a company outing, by mini coach. Departure at 07:30 from two offices in Dubai. Stop for a break near the mountains at about 09:00. Arrive on the coast by 10:00. Beach and lunch from 10:30 to 14:00. A short stop at a viewpoint or an old fort. Depart at 15:00. Back in Dubai at about 17:30, ahead of the heaviest evening traffic, though that is not certain.
A group this size fits a mini coach. For 31 to 50 guests, a 50-seater coach keeps everyone together. A party of up to 16 can use the Mercedes Sprinter or the 13-seater van. The corporate side of these trips is covered on our event transport page.
Starting prices on the price page are for a full day within Dubai with driver and fuel, for example AED 1,100 per day for a mini coach and AED 1,450 per day for a 50-seater. Fujairah is a long intercity day, so the written quote sets its own figure for your date, route and hours.
Ask us to list tolls, parking and waiting time, so there are no surprises. Our guide to what is in a bus rental quote explains each line. If you only need one way, for example a group moving to a coast hotel, see the Dubai to Fujairah transfer page.
If the programme is a swim, a lunch and home, a day works. If the group wants to dive, hike or sit through a long dinner, stay the night. The extra hotel costs are the group's, and the driver's overnight allowance is on our quote. The second day can be a slow morning and an early afternoon return, avoiding the commuter traffic into Dubai.
For another mountain and coast combination, see our Ras Al Khaimah trip. For something shorter, Hatta is nearer.
Send the date, the headcount, the pick-up points, the places you plan to visit and the time the group must be back, using the booking page. We reply with a fixed written quote, usually within the hour. Nothing is charged until you confirm.
