If your group is 36 to 50 people, one coach keeps everyone on the same schedule. Here is how the 50-seater works, what it carries and when two smaller vehicles make more sense.
Your reference
A group leader abroad usually has one question to settle first: one big vehicle or several small ones. For 36 to 50 people, one coach is normally simpler. There is one driver to brief, one arrival time at each stop, and nobody wondering which van the group leader is in.
The 50-seater is a full-size, high-floor coach. Seats recline, every seat has a belt, and the air-conditioning is strong enough for a coach that has been parked in the sun. Fuel and driver are in the day rate. It is not a vehicle for self-drive, and we do not rent it that way.
Below about 30 people, the mini coach is usually the better fit. Above 50, you need a second vehicle. Between 31 and 50, you are in 50-seater territory, and the rest of this page is about how to use it well.
Prices depend on the date and group size. Get yours in a minute.
Get my priceFifty is the number of passenger seats. The driver sits separately. But the seats are not all yours: tour leaders, a local guide, a photographer or a hotel representative each take one. A group of 48 guests plus two staff is already full.
A coach that is exactly full is also a coach with no spare seat for the person who is late, the person who feels unwell near the front, or the guest who needs a seat with more room. Planners who send 46 guests in a 50-seater tend to have a calmer day than planners who send 50.
Seats at the front are better for guests who get motion sick. Seats at the back are further from the PA speakers and nearer the engine. If you know who needs what, tell us and the group leader can seat people as they board.
The under-floor holds take roughly one medium suitcase per passenger. That is enough for a day trip with small bags, and it is enough for an airport transfer where each guest has one checked bag. It is not enough when everyone has a large suitcase plus a golf bag or a trade-show case.
| What the group carries | Fits in one coach? | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Day bags only | Yes, with space to spare | Racks overhead and the hold stay mostly empty |
| One medium suitcase each, 45 guests | Yes | Hold is nearly full, so tell the driver the count |
| Suitcase plus extra case each | No | Add a 13-seater van as a luggage chase vehicle |
| Display stands, banners, boxes | Depends on shape | Send sizes in advance and we say yes or no in the quote |
Overhead racks are for hand luggage only. A bag that is too big for the rack ends up on someone’s lap, and that is how aisles get blocked. If the airline allowances your group is flying on are generous, send us the numbers before we choose the vehicle.
Every 50-seater has a PA system for the guide, host or group leader. It sounds like a minor extra until you try to brief 45 people on a moving coach without one. The driver can show you where the microphone is before the first pick-up, and a guide who already knows the route can speak naturally rather than shouting over the road.
Use it for the headcount, the next stop, the time to be back at the coach, and the heat. Keep it short. A guide who talks for forty minutes without a break loses the group by minute fifteen.
The starting price is from AED 1,450 per day for up to 10 hours within Dubai, with driver and fuel. The clock runs from the first pick-up to the final drop-off, including waiting at stops. That is why a day with long gaps between stops can use the hours faster than the map suggests.
Several things move the final figure: extra hours, a day outside Dubai, toll and parking costs on your route, and the waiting allowance. All of them are written on the quote. Nothing is added afterwards. Your written quote confirms the exact price for your date, route and hours, so ask for it before you commit.
The price page shows every vehicle side by side, and the guide to reading a bus quote explains each line.
This is where many planners go wrong. They see 42 guests and book two vans because it looks cheaper per head. It often is not. Two vehicles mean two drivers, two parking spaces, two sets of tolls, and a group that splits at the first red light.
Two smaller vehicles do make sense in three cases. The group is split between hotels that are far apart. The venue road is too narrow for a full-size coach. Or the group is under 30, where a mini coach does the job for less. Everything else points to one coach.
Take 42 guests and a day at 1,450 for one 50-seater. The alternative is a mini coach at 1,100 plus a 13-seater van at 900, which seats 43 at most and costs 2,000 before tolls. Both are starting prices, and the quote sets the real ones. The coach costs less and keeps the group together.
A 50-seater is long and high. Many hotels have a coach bay or a side entrance for it, and some villa communities do not allow large vehicles at all. In older parts of Deira and Bur Dubai the streets are narrow, so the coach may stop on the main road and the group walks the last stretch.
Send the exact address of every pick-up and drop-off when you ask for the quote. We check access in advance and tell the group leader where to stand. Where a coach cannot get close, the driver tells you before the day, not on it.
The driver arrives about ten minutes before the agreed time with the air-conditioning running, loads the bags, and keeps to the route you agreed. The group leader counts heads at every stop. The organiser holds the programme and tells us about any change.
Keep one phone number for changes. If three people call the driver with three different instructions, the day slows down. Pick one person and give us that name and number on the booking.
A full day on a coach is tiring, and the cabin is the same temperature whether the group is in it for ten minutes or two hours. Plan a comfort stop roughly every 90 minutes on longer runs, and keep water on board. Guests who are not used to the heat feel it faster than they expect.
For intercity days, the Abu Dhabi transfer page explains how those days are quoted, and the coach rental page compares both coach sizes.
A quote for a coach is only as good as the facts behind it. Before you write to any operator, settle five things. The maximum headcount including staff. The number of bags and their size. Every pick-up and drop-off address, in order. The earliest start and the latest finish. And whether anyone in the group needs step-free boarding or a seat near the door.
With those five answers, a quote can be exact. Without them, the operator either guesses or adds a margin, and you pay for the guess. A group leader who has spent twenty minutes collecting the facts usually gets a better first quote than one who sends "50 people, Dubai, Tuesday".
Groups of 51 and above need a second vehicle. Look at the big group arrival guide if you are landing at the airport.

Quick answers for this trip.
It has 50 passenger seats, and the driver is separate. Count guides, leaders and staff as passengers. Planners who leave one or two seats free usually have an easier day.
About one medium suitcase per passenger. Oversized cases, display stands or golf bags can change that, so send sizes and we answer in the quote.
From AED 1,450 per day for up to 10 hours within Dubai, with driver and fuel. Ask for a fixed written quote, which confirms the exact price for your date, route and hours.
Yes. The 50-seater has a PA system for a guide or group leader. Mention it when you book and it is checked before departure.
Yes. Those days are quoted as intercity days, with tolls and waiting listed. The mini coach and the coach both do these runs.
No. Every vehicle comes with a professional driver and fuel. We do not offer self-drive.
You need a second vehicle. A 50-seater and a mini coach is the usual pairing. See the page for 100 guests for how larger plans are timed.
On a day booking, yes. Waiting is part of the booked hours. The driver uses coach parking or a permitted waiting area and returns at the time you set.
Only for airport pick-ups. Send each flight number and the driver tracks the real landing time, so a delay moves the pick-up with it.
