Jumeirah Mosque group visit: transport and timing
The visit is run by the centre that looks after the mosque, on fixed sessions. We run the vehicle. That means the day is built around the session time, the registration before it and the drive from your hotel.

Who does what
Jumeirah Mosque is on Jumeirah Beach Road in Jumeirah 1. Visits are a guided programme run by the Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Centre for Cultural Understanding, which this page calls the centre. The centre decides the sessions, the registration, the dress notes and how private visits work. Everything on this page about those points comes from the centre’s own pages, and hours do change, so check before you go.
We provide the vehicle and the driver. We do not book, reserve or sell a place on any session, and we are not guides. If your group needs a private visit, the centre’s contact page is the place to ask. Our chauffeur etiquette guide sets out what a driver does and does not do on a day like this.

Get a quoteThe sessions decide the day
The centre lists two public sessions: 10:00 am and 2:00 pm, Saturday to Thursday. It does not run the public visit on Fridays, so do not plan a Friday. Registration opens 30 minutes before each session. The centre’s own description puts the programme at about an hour and a quarter. We could not find Ramadan hours for 2027, so check the centre’s notice if your dates fall in that month.
Work back from the session. As an example, not a rule: for the 10:00 session, plan to be at the mosque by about 9:30. For 2:00 pm, by about 1:30. A vehicle that drops the group at 9:30 and waits until the end will be there about two hours. That waiting time goes on your written quote, so tell us which session you are aiming for.
Add the drive and the head count. If the group is in three hotels, the pick-up loop takes longer than the drive. The tour leader briefing sheet gives a simple twelve-line way to tell guests the meeting point, the time and where the vehicle waits.
Drive times from where you are staying
These are approximate figures from OpenStreetMap routing with no traffic, so allow more in the weekday peaks. Google Maps on the day will differ.

For the airport side of the same map, see how far Dubai Airport is from your hotel area. A group landing in the morning and wanting the 2:00 pm session needs the arrival plan first, which the big group arrival guide covers.
Dress notes, as the centre states them
We do not add rules or interpretations of our own. The centre’s dress code says modest clothing is required. For men, shorts and sleeveless tops should be avoided. For women, clothing should cover arms, legs and hair. The centre says it lends garments to visitors who need them, including traditional kanduras for men and abayas and headscarves for women. Its home page asks women to bring their own head cover or scarf where they can.
Send this to your group leader the day before, in the centre’s wording, so people dress at the hotel and not in the vehicle. Check the centre’s dress code page before you go, since it can change.
Where the vehicle goes
We have not found any published rule on where a coach or minibus may drop off, park or wait at Jumeirah Mosque. So we do not say. Ask us and we confirm the drop-off point in your written quote, and the driver tells your group leader before anyone steps off. The same applies to the pick-up after the programme.
Vehicle size follows headcount. A 13-seater van or a Mercedes Sprinter (up to 16) suits a small party, a 30-seater mini coach a mid-sized one, and a 50-seater coach a full group. If the stop is short of the entrance, a smaller vehicle often copes better, as the guide to hotel entrances and tight streets explains.
Putting a morning together
The mosque is a few minutes from the old districts, so it pairs with the Creek. Jumeirah Mosque to Al Fahidi is about 5 to 10 minutes by road, roughly 6 km. As an example for the morning session: hotels at 8:45, mosque by 9:30, programme to about 11:15, then Bur Dubai for a walk and an abra crossing. Our Old Dubai half-day plan for groups shows how the vehicle meets you on the far bank.
The centre’s own office is in the Al Fahidi Historical Neighbourhood, which is another reason the two fit. For a longer outing the private minibus city tour puts Jumeirah on the coast road between Old Dubai and Downtown.
What to send for a quote
Send the date, the session you are aiming for, the number of people, the hotels and whether you continue to another stop. Ask for a fixed written quote. It lists the vehicle, the hours including the wait, and the agreed drop-off. Start from the booking page.
