13-Seater Van
From AED 900 per dayPractical, air-conditioned and right-sized for group transfers.
- 13 seats
- 10 bags
- Driver incl.
A seat count is only half the answer. Bags, staff, late arrivals and the width of the hotel driveway all change what you should send.

Most planners begin with the headcount on the booking list and ask for a bus that fits it. That is the right first step and also the usual cause of a squeeze on the day. The list rarely includes the tour leader, the two people from head office who joined late, the photographer or the interpreter. All of them need a seat.
So take the confirmed guests, add everyone who travels with them in a working role, and then add a small margin. For a group of 40 guests with a leader, a guide and a photographer, the number you size for is 43 plus a margin, and that already points you to the 50-seater coach rather than a mini coach.
Our seat counts are passenger seats. The driver is never one of them.

Get a quoteThis is the table we work from when a group sends us a number and nothing else. It assumes ordinary cabin bags and one suitcase per person, which is the case for most transfers. Heavy luggage changes it, and the next section covers that.
| People who need a seat | Usual choice | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| 13 to 16 | 13-seater van or Mercedes Sprinter | The van seats 13, the Sprinter up to 16. Two or three people over the van limit tips you into the Sprinter. |
| 17 to 21 | Mini coach, or two vehicles | An awkward size. A mini coach with spare seats is simplest, two vans split the group. |
| 22 to 30 | Mini coach | Seats vary between 22 and 30 depending on the vehicle, so we name the seat count on the quote. |
| 31 to 50 | 50-seater coach | Full-size coach with luggage holds under the floor. |
| 51 to 80 | 50-seater plus a mini coach | Two vehicles, one driver each. |
| 81 to 100 | Two 50-seaters | Or a 50-seater and two mini coaches if the venue has tight access. |
| Over 100 | A small fleet | Send the list and the arrival pattern. Several coaches on one quote is normal. |
For groups under 13 you are in car and V-Class territory, which this page does not cover. The fleet page shows every size.
A coach can be full of people and still have a hold with room to spare, or the other way round. Seats are a fixed number. Luggage space is not, because it depends on what the group packs.
A 50-seater carries about one medium suitcase for each passenger in its under-floor holds. That works for a leisure group with one case each. It stops working for a trade-show team with display boxes, a sports squad with kit bags or a wedding party where every guest has brought a second case for the outfits. The luggage planning guide explains how to count bags and what to put on the quote.
The practical rule: if the bag count is higher than the passenger count, say so when you ask for the price. We would sooner send a second vehicle for the bags than have the driver turn people away at the kerb.
Three groups of passengers are routinely left out of the first headcount. Planners who list them before they ask for a quote tend to get the right vehicle first time.
None of these are large numbers. Together they are what turns 48 into 53, which is the difference between one coach and two.
A coach that is full to the last seat has no room for anything to change. One empty row does a lot of work. It takes the guest who arrives with a colleague nobody mentioned, it gives a seat to the person who needs to sit at the front, and it keeps the aisle from becoming a luggage shelf.
As a rough working rule, keep about 10 per cent of seats free on a day with several stops and about 5 per cent on a simple point-to-point transfer. Those are planning figures, not a promise about any particular vehicle. If your headcount is firm and the programme is short, a tighter fit is fine.
Past 30 people you often have a choice. A 50-seater for 44 people feels natural. Two mini coaches for the same 44 can be a better answer in a few situations.
The cost is two drivers and two sets of waiting time on the quote. The gain is flexibility. If the programme has one pickup, one drop-off and no surprises, one big coach is simpler for everybody, including the group leader who has one driver to call.
That makes 80 people who need a seat. Sizing for 80 with no margin would use a 50-seater and a 30-seat mini coach, which has exactly zero spare. We would suggest the same pair but ask the planner whether the mini coach could be one of the larger 30-seat vehicles, so that there are a few spare seats.
On starting prices from the price page, a 50-seater is from AED 1,450 per day and a mini coach from AED 1,100 per day. Together those are from AED 2,550 per day as an example, for up to 10 hours in Dubai with drivers and fuel. The written quote confirms the real figure for the date, route and hours, and it lists each vehicle on its own line.
Plenty of groups cannot give a final headcount until a few weeks out. That is normal and it does not stop you asking for a price. Give us the likely number and the range, for example "between 36 and 48", and we price for the vehicle that covers the top of the range.
The risk to watch is crossing a line. 30 to 31 is the line between a mini coach and a 50-seater. 50 to 51 means a second vehicle. Moving within a size costs nothing extra to plan, moving over a line changes the quote. Changes and cancellations follow the terms written on your quote.
The guide to booking ahead covers what to do when the numbers move late, and the peak season guide shows which weeks are busy.
The shortest useful message has the date, the headcount range, the number of bags, each pickup and drop-off, and the times. The quote checklist lists everything that helps. You can send it all through the booking page and ask for a fixed written quote.

Quick answers for this trip.
Fifty passengers. The driver has a separate seat and is not part of the count. Include guides, leaders and staff when you count, and remember that luggage space is a separate limit.
A mini coach is usually the answer, since a Sprinter seats up to 16. Mini coaches carry between 22 and 30 depending on the vehicle, so we state the seat count on the quote.
A 50-seater plus a mini coach. That is two vehicles and two drivers on one quote, and it leaves some spare seats on the second one.
It helps. About 10 per cent free on a multi-stop day absorbs late guests and staff. For a simple one-way transfer with a firm list, a tighter fit is reasonable.
No, but it can decide the vehicle. A 50-seater holds roughly one medium suitcase per passenger. If you have more bags than people, tell us and we plan a luggage vehicle or a larger fleet.
Yes, but ask early. A second coach depends on what we have for your date. Tell us the likely top number so the quote covers it.
It depends on the route, the hours and the vehicles. The starting prices are on the price page, and your written quote shows each option so you can compare.
Yes, from sedans to the Mercedes V-Class, but this guide is about group sizes. The fleet page lists every vehicle.
Tell us the number and the type of chair when you ask for the price. Folding chairs go in the hold. For anyone who would find coach steps hard, we can send a V-Class alongside on the same quote.
