A polo day in Dubailand, from the city.
Al Habtoor Polo Club in Dubailand hosts a season of polo tournaments from autumn to April, and the next on the organiser’s list is the UAE National Day Cup on 24 to 28 November 2026. If you bring a group of polo followers, a sports club on tour or a party that wants a day at the match, this page gives you the season dates the organiser lists, the points where sources differ, what last season’s pages said and why we do not treat that as current, and how a vehicle fits.

What the organiser says
The Dubai Polo Gold Cup organiser publishes the season calendar for the club. It lists the UAE National Day Cup (8 to 10 goal) on 24 to 28 November 2026, the Silver Cup (20 goal) from 23 January to 6 February 2027, the Dubai Challenge Cup (8 to 10 goal) from 13 to 20 February, the Gold Cup (20 goal) from 3 to 20 March, the Dubai Cup (6 to 8 goal) from 5 to 10 April and the Polo Masters Cup (6 to 8 goal) from 12 to 17 April. The goal figure is the handicap level of the teams, which tells you the standard of the tournament.
Visit Dubai’s calendar adds one entry the organiser’s calendar does not show: the Sir Winston Churchill Cup, 2 to 5 December 2026, at the same club. It also ends four tournaments one day later than the organiser does. The organiser runs the tournaments, so we use its dates and note the difference.
Several events in the region were postponed or cancelled in 2026. Check the organiser’s notices before you book transport. If dates change, we adjust a quote. We are not the organiser’s or the club’s transport provider and not a partner of either.

| Tournament | Dates, per the organiser | Level |
|---|---|---|
| UAE National Day Cup | 24 to 28 Nov 2026 | 8 to 10 goal |
| Sir Winston Churchill Cup (Visit Dubai only) | 2 to 5 Dec 2026 | Not stated |
| Silver Cup | 23 Jan to 6 Feb 2027 | 20 goal |
| Dubai Challenge Cup | 13 to 20 Feb 2027 | 8 to 10 goal |
| Gold Cup | 3 to 20 Mar 2027 | 20 goal |
| Dubai Cup | 5 to 10 Apr 2027 | 6 to 8 goal |
| Polo Masters Cup | 12 to 17 Apr 2027 | 6 to 8 goal |
The calendar gives a span for each tournament, not a match-by-match timetable, and it gives no final dates. We found none, so we state none. 2 December is UAE National Day, so a group in the city then should read our National Day plan as well.
Where the club is
The club’s site places it in Dubailand, with four polo fields and the Al Habtoor Polo Resort at its centre. It gives its GPS position as 25 05 14.05 N, 55 21 33.20 E. Dubailand sits inland from the coast hotels, so the drive from the beach areas is longer than a map of central Dubai suggests.
The organiser’s pages give no entrance, gate or coach arrival text for 2026 to 2027.
Last season’s pages, and why we do not rely on them
The club’s ticket page for 2026 lists match-day times for last season: 12:00 to 18:30 for the Silver Cup and 10:00 to 20:00 for the Gold Cup. It also described general entry as free on match days apart from finals, and public parking as free. The 2027 page was not online when we checked. An old FAQ on the tournament site mentions hotel shuttle buses for one final and carries an old final date. We treat all of this as how past seasons worked. We cannot say that any of it holds for 2027, and we claim no shuttle for 2027.
So ask the organiser three things before you fix a plan: the gate times for your match day, whether your day has an entry rule, and where a group vehicle should arrive.
How far it is, as modelled
The organiser publishes no drive times, so these are our own, from OpenStreetMap routing with no traffic and no event closures. They are modelled, from the club’s own GPS position, and the quickest case.
| From | Distance | Modelled drive, no traffic |
|---|---|---|
| Dubai Airport (DXB) | About 29.1 km | About 30 minutes |
| Downtown Dubai | About 24.1 km | About 27 minutes |
| Madinat Jumeirah | About 29.0 km | About 28 minutes |
| Expo City (Al Wasl) | About 32.4 km | About 33 minutes |
| Dubai Marina | About 34.1 km | About 33 minutes |
Planning the day
Match days run for hours, and the finish time depends on the match. Here is an example sum, not a promise. A group of 20 staying in Downtown wants a Saturday afternoon match. Suppose the organiser gives a throw-in at 15:00. The modelled drive is about 27 minutes, so with a generous margin for the approach and the walk, the vehicle might leave the hotel at about 13:30. Agree one return time in writing, and ask the driver to hold a flexible window rather than a fixed minute, because a match can run late.
Polo is an outdoor day. Our guide to heat and daylight by month helps with sunset and the cooler months. If you want another sporting afternoon, see the racing at Meydan in our World Cup weekend guide. For the airport end, see Dubai Airport to Downtown Dubai.
A licensed guide can be arranged for a fee: ask when you request a quote. Our driver is not a guide.
Choosing the vehicle
Match days mean folding chairs, rugs and cool bags more than suitcases. Tell us the items when you ask for a quote. Our guide figures:
- Mercedes V-Class: up to 7 passengers and 6 bags.
- 13-seater HiAce: up to 13 passengers and about 10 suitcases.
- Mercedes Sprinter: up to 16 passengers and up to 12 suitcases.
- 30-seater mini coach and 50-seater coach for a club or society party.
How a booked vehicle fits
- Send the plan. Date, hotel area, party size, the match you want and any gear.
- Ask for a fixed written quote. Nothing is charged until you confirm.
- Read the pick-up and drop-off arrangement. The quote states it, and we update it when the organiser publishes its notices.
- Agree the return time. We plan the margin and tell you what is not yet published.
- Tell us if plans change. We adjust where we can, and cannot promise to beat queues or traffic.

Frequently asked.
Quick answers for this trip.
When does the 2026-27 polo season start at Al Habtoor Polo Club?
The organiser’s next tournament is the UAE National Day Cup on 24 to 28 November 2026. The Silver Cup follows from 23 January 2027 and the Gold Cup from 3 March. Check the organiser’s notices before you book transport.
Do the organiser and Visit Dubai agree on the dates?
Mostly. Visit Dubai adds a Sir Winston Churchill Cup on 2 to 5 December that the organiser’s calendar does not show, and it ends four tournaments one day later. We use the organiser’s dates.
Where is the club?
In Dubailand. The club gives its GPS position as 25 05 14.05 N, 55 21 33.20 E, and says it has four polo fields.
How far is it from my hotel?
Our routing model with no traffic gives about 27 minutes from Downtown Dubai, about 30 minutes from Dubai Airport and about 33 minutes from Dubai Marina. Add time at busy hours.
Is there a shuttle or free parking in 2027?
We cannot say. Last season’s pages mentioned both, and the 2027 pages were not online when we checked on 31 October 2026. Ask the organiser.
When are the finals?
We found no final dates for any tournament. The calendar gives only the span of each one.
Where would a coach stop?
We found no coach arrival or parking information. We agree a drop-off point and a collection point with you once they are published, and we cannot promise a stop at the ground.
How do I get a price?
Ask for a fixed written quote through the booking form with the date, hotel area, party size and match day. Nothing is charged until you confirm.
