The UAE is 4 hours behind Singapore, the flight is about 7 to 8 hours, and arrival times swing from small hours to midday depending on the departure slot. We plan the pickups around that.

Singapore runs on UTC+8 and the UAE on UTC+4, so Singapore is 4 hours ahead. A 7.5-hour flight turns that into arrival times that look odd on paper. The table below uses about 7 hours 30 minutes in the air as a round number. Your airline will give the exact time, and we track the flight on the day.
| Leaves Singapore | Same moment in the UAE | Lands in Dubai (approx.) |
|---|---|---|
| 08:00 | 04:00 | 11:30 |
| 14:00 | 10:00 | 17:30 |
| 23:00 | 19:00 | 02:30 next day |
The late-night departure is the one that catches planners out. A team that lands at 02:30 will want the vehicle at the gate, not a taxi rank, and the hotel needs to know the check-in will be after midnight. The pickup note we write includes the hotel confirmation number if you send it.

Get a quoteSingapore companies often come to GITEX as part of a trade mission or a startup group, and the party is usually smaller than a coach load. Think six to twelve people with a mix of founders, sales staff and a coordinator. For that size, a 13-seater van, which starts from AED 900 for a full day with driver and fuel, is often the right fit. A V-Class works for a group of up to seven.
Teams that use a national pavilion usually have one coordinator who handles logistics for everyone. Give us that person as the single contact, with a mobile number that works in the UAE, and we keep all the changes on one thread. English is the working language for most Singapore teams, so the driver briefing is straightforward. If someone on the team needs the written note in Chinese, Malay or Tamil, send us the text and we translate the pickup note.
Singapore groups tend to be mixed in faith and in diet. A team may include Muslim colleagues who pray at set times, Hindu or Buddhist colleagues who eat vegetarian, and others with no restriction. None of this affects the booking much, but it does affect timing. In December in the UAE, midday prayer falls around 12:15 and the sunset prayer around half past five. Check a prayer timetable for the actual day.
If your team wants to break for prayer outside the hall or to eat at a particular restaurant, tell us the time and place. A vehicle that waits an hour is on the quote as an hour.
Many Singapore visitors prefer a hotel close to the Business Bay and Downtown area because it feels familiar, with an office district, malls and a metro nearby. Others book Dubai Marina or JBR. From Downtown, Business Bay and DIFC the drive to Expo City is about 35 to 50 minutes in normal traffic, and from the Marina or JBR about 25 to 40 minutes. From DXB it is 35 to 50 minutes.
After a flight that lands at midday, the first afternoon is free. Use it to collect badges if your registration is open, and book the first morning departure with a margin. The airport to Expo City page explains the direct run, and the DXB to Downtown transfer covers the city-centre hotel run.
Singapore teams usually arrive with printed cards, small company gifts and a stack of brochures. None of it is heavy, but it adds up across eight people. A cabin bag plus a checked suitcase each is normal for a team that stays four to five days. If there are display panels or a roll-up banner, count them separately.
For exhibitors, our exhibitor team guide sets out how we load vehicles when stand material shares space with people.
Singapore hosts its own Grand Prix, so many Singapore visitors know the sport well, and some will combine the Abu Dhabi race on 3 to 6 December with GITEX the week after. Check the official schedule for race sessions. We do not sell tickets. The drive from Dubai Marina to Yas Marina Circuit is about 1 hour to 1 hour 15 in normal traffic and longer on race days.
Our F1 then GITEX week page shows how to schedule the two events, and the Dubai to Yas guide covers race-day timing.
Departures from Dubai to Singapore often leave late at night or in the small hours, which means the last day of GITEX can run straight into the airport run. The show closes on Friday 11 December. If your flight leaves on the Friday night, the team will want to leave Expo City with bags already in the vehicle, or collect the bags from the hotel first. Decide which, and tell us.
Allow about 35 to 50 minutes from Expo City to DXB in normal traffic, and more at the end of a show day, when many visitors leave at once. Check your airline for the check-in time on your flight. Late checkout at the hotel is worth asking for, since a team that checks out at midday and flies at midnight has twelve hours to fill. We can hold a vehicle on a booking by the hour for the final afternoon, and the hours go on the quote.
Entry rules change. We do not give visa advice. Check with your airline or the official UAE immigration sites, ICP and GDRFA.
The quote is in dirhams and in UAE local time. It names the vehicle, the hours or route, driver, fuel and any Salik charges. Ask for a fixed written quote on the booking page, with flight numbers, headcount per flight and the hotel.
A Singapore mission is often six to twelve people. Choose by headcount and cases. We confirm the vehicle on the quote.

About 02:30 Dubai time the next day on a flight of about 7.5 hours. Your airline gives the real time. Send us the flight number and we track it and time the driver to the actual landing.
Ahead. Singapore is on UTC+8 and the UAE on UTC+4, so it is 4 hours later in Singapore. Every pickup on our quote uses UAE local time to avoid confusion.
Send us the written briefing in Chinese, Malay or Tamil and we translate the pickup note. The driver is briefed in English from our side. The note stays with the booking.
A 13-seater van seats a group of that size but gets tight with luggage. A Sprinter gives more room for cases. Tell us the number of bags and we recommend one.
Yes. Give us the time and place and say whether the vehicle should wait or return. Waiting time is counted in hours and written on the quote, so the coordinator can see the cost of the break before the day starts.
About 35 to 50 minutes in normal traffic. Show mornings are slower, so we set the first-day departure earlier and send the plan in writing before you fly, with the pickup time shown in UAE local time.
