A wildlife park day, east of the city.
Dubai Safari Park opened its eighth season on 12 October 2026. It sits on the Hatta Road, east of the main hotel areas, so a group needs a plan for the drive as well as for the day. Here is what the park publishes about hours, parking and getting there, what it does not say, and how one vehicle fits a half or full day.

What the park says
The park’s site says Season 8 opened on 12 October 2026 and that it is open daily from 9:00 to 18:00, with last entry at 17:00. It says the park normally closes in the peak summer months, and we found no closing date for Season 8. It suggests allowing four to five hours for a visit.
One warning. The park’s FAQ page still lists winter hours of 9:00 to 20:00, which belong to the previous season. The home page, the plan-your-visit page and the terms page all say 9:00 to 18:00, so we use those. Check the park’s site close to your date.
We are drivers and not guides. We do not sell tickets or packages, and the park’s drive-through safari journeys are booked with the park, so a hired vehicle stays outside.

Get a quoteWhere it is, and how to get there
The park gives its location as Al Warqa 5, on the E44 Hatta Road, opposite Dragon Mart. A map service may place it in a neighbouring area, and we trust the park’s own description. The park lists free parking in three car parks, P1 to P3, with electric-vehicle charging at P1. It lists the Red Line to Centrepoint station and then RTA bus F10 as the public option, with a reminder to check current departures, and taxi to the main entrance.
Those suit individuals. For a family or a group with a fixed schedule, one vehicle from the hotel removes the changes. Our Metro and coach guide explains which parts of a day suit each.
How far it is
These are approximate drive times from our routing model, built on OpenStreetMap data, with no traffic and no stops. The park’s point on the map is approximate, so add a couple of kilometres.
| From | Distance | Approximate drive time |
|---|---|---|
| Dubai Airport (DXB) | About 23 km | About 36 minutes |
| Downtown Dubai | About 25.5 km | About 25 minutes |
| Dubai Marina | About 47 km | About 45 minutes |
| Palm Jumeirah | About 48 km | About 47 minutes |
Allow more on weekends and public holidays, and more again for a morning arrival at opening time.
Shows, groups and what is not published
The park’s terms say entry to a live presentation begins 15 minutes before each show, late entry may not be allowed, and times can change on the day. If your group wants a show, ask the park for the day’s times and plan the arrival around them.
The park lists private and group packages, booked per group on top of park tickets, and a contact page for group enquiries. Do that before you plan a vehicle. We make no claim about prices or group sizes, which are the park’s to give.
We found no coach or minibus drop-off point, no coach parking and no group booking minimum for coaches. We agree a drop-off point and a collection point with you, and we cannot promise a stop at the gate.
Planning the day
A common plan is a morning pick-up from the hotel, arrival close to opening time, and a return in the late afternoon, because the park closes at 18:00 and its last entry is 17:00. Agree one return time with the group in writing, and keep a margin for the last show or the walk back to the pick-up point. For example, a group staying in Downtown Dubai at about 25 minutes’ drive might leave at about 8:15 for a 9:00 arrival. Your hotel, group size and the day will change the sum.
If you want a second stop, look at the other family days on our site, such as a family holiday in Dubai, the Miracle Garden and Butterfly Garden group trip and Dubai Parks and Resorts. The park is on the Hatta Road, so it also fits a longer day towards the mountains, which our Hatta full-day trip page covers.
Choosing the vehicle
Count passengers first and bags second. A park day means coats, water and sometimes a pushchair. Our guide figures:
- Mercedes V-Class: up to 7 passengers and 6 bags.
- 13-seater HiAce: up to 13 passengers and about 10 suitcases.
- Mercedes Sprinter: up to 16 passengers and up to 12 suitcases.
- 30-seater mini coach and 50-seater coach for school-age groups and tour parties.
How a booked vehicle fits
- Send the plan. Date, hotel area, party size and the time you want to be back.
- Ask for a fixed written quote. Nothing is charged until you confirm.
- Read the pick-up and drop-off arrangement. The quote states it, and we update it when the park publishes one.
- Agree the return time. We plan the margin and tell you what is not yet published.
- Tell us if plans change. We adjust where we can, and cannot promise to beat traffic.
